I'm really new to this game. Can someone tell me how to get more fuel?

There are 2 ways.

1. Go to Moon planets. You don't need fuel if it's in the same star system.

2. You can buy it at The Outpost. 5 pixels a piece.

Don't you need a space suit to go on moons though? Who do I buy fuel from, the shipyard guy?

You do indeed need a suit to go to moons.

You just need to build the EPP pack to breathe on the moons!!! ^_^ You upgrade them more to visit the frigid, high heat, and radioactive planets. <3 Hope this helps! ^_^

As the first commenter said, you do not need any fuel in order to visit other planets around your current star (you only need fuel for interstellar travel). You will be able to craft yourself an air supply if you go to a nearby forest or desert planet and gather the new metal ore that appears there.

One extra hint if you're going on moons to obtain fuel: When you get your first unit, you will be chased by creatures known as Erchius Ghosts. Stay away from these as they cannot be killed.

You can actually go to moons without an EPP just fine. Just have to be faster. You can leave and come back all you want.
