Firekeeper soul found in New Londo? Use? Also are there no Bonfires in New Londo?

What do I need to do with this soul? I don't want to use it to only find out that later I actually needed it (like the reviving of the firekeeper at Firelink Shrine, I was just really lucky I held onto that soul)

Also are there absolutely no bonfires at all in New Londo or did I miss it? Dying is turning into a pain because it sends me all the way back to Firelink Shrine and I don't want to have to keep fighting my way through those persky drakes in order to access New Londo

Its only use is reinforcing your flasks.

As to shortcuts, there are two. One involves a kickable ladder and dropping, it cuts out most of upeer NL.

I couldn`t begin to explain where the elevator shortcut from upper to lower is, mostly because I haven`t had cause to use it for months.

There are no bonfires I am aware of.

All firekeeper soul you find is useable as they're not connected to any particular firekeeper. That said, the only soul you need to be careful w/ is Anastacia's so if you've revived her then feel free to enforce ur estus.
No, there's no bonfire in New Londo. That's why so few people want to do coop there. You can access New Londo thru' the Firelink elevator. From Firelink firekeeper goes down the opposite stair, you'll find it. You can run straight past the first 2 ghosts, hugging the wall of the stairs to go to the right, from there there will be a ledge where u can jump straight down to Lower New Londo, bypassing several Darkwraiths in the hall too. I can speedrun from Firelink to 4 Kings in less than 1 min this way.

Dam, I keep getting suprised attacked by Ghosts whilst trying to kill the darkwraiths. Driving me mad!

Actually I want to fight the Darkwraiths, I am on a titanite chunk mission at the moment as well! Finally a place to farm them :)

Also the official shortcut to Lower NL is next to the first lever you encounter in Upper NL, the one to your left guarded by a ghost.

That first shortcut I showed you leads straight to the Darkwraith w/o having to fight any ghosts. From there either backtracking or going forward you'll find plenty of them.

Near the staircase in upper new londo there's a spot you can jump off near the illusory wall and near a Darkwraith skipping half of Lower New Londo Ruins and almost all of upper New Londo Ruins. Do note though if you want the Very Large Ember you'd have to backtrack a bit from there and fight the Mass of Souls, and 2 Darkwraiths that may aggro.
