Kingseeker Frampt vs Darkstalker Kaathe

Just completed Anor Londo and Painted World of Ariamis. I'm not exactly sure what to do with the Lordvessel. I think I'm interested in joining the darkwraith covenant. What are the plus vs cons in regards to speaking with frampt or kaathe?

Nothing. There are no pros and cons for speaking to either of them, except that you can join the Darkwraith covenant by speaking to Kaathe.

Imo Kaathe. The darkwraiths give an armor and a weapon that you can't get anywhere else. Also it opens a covenant that you can go back to anytime. Frampt breaks down mats into smaller ones and gives souls for feeding him, but it's not that worth it since you'll be earning lots of souls farming for the higher end mats that can be used to buy the lessers.

No one mentioned getting the armor set and weapon from Darkwraith. You learn to read.

Kaathe offers some neat stuff you cant really get anywhere else while Frampt mostly just makes farming easier. I personally prefer Kaathe most of the time.

Darkstalker Kaathe

It's the "true" ending, as I see it. (Regardless of what DS2 says)
And it's out right better in every single way.

It may also depend on whether you want to host fights in Forest or no (since you will have to kill Sif and Four Kings to get Kaathe).

what does DS2 say?

As far as I know.
Dark Souls 2 takes place in the future.
The fire is still burning. AKA the true ending was lightning the fire.
But people in the future seems to have forgotten about the past.
That's probably not all of it, but it's what I can recall at the top of my head.

You can use both. Before you get Vessel, feed stuff and convert titanite. Once you have vessel, stop talking to him, and go kill Four Kings. Get the dark set (My fav armor) and leave convenent for another one like darkmoon (Like I did)

Sif is is not the boss of area, you can kill sif and still have pvp here because of Moonlight Butterfly.

At least for me, i don`t get that much of invasions in Butterfly area.

Nope, you can`t. Once you talked to Frampt, Kaathe will get upset and won`t show up until new playthrough.

That's so wrong lol. I did it myself. I feeded stuff to Frampt until I get Vessel.

The trick is to NOT talk him when you have Vessel.

Believe me, it work, I did it. I have full Dark Set and I'm in Darkmoon Covenent.

Well, i didn`t know about that, my bad.
Altough, i know the trick with Kaathe : you need to speak with them, teleport to the Alter and DO NOT place the Vessel, but just homeward bone to the bonfire (for instance, Abyss one). Then, he will offer you to join the covenant. And, as i know, after that you can simply talk to Frampt without him going all ♥♥♥♥♥♥ on you.
