Hacker in the Burg - Beware!

I have had this game for a while and never have been able to play due to GFWL connectivity issues, but long story short, this is how one of my first PVP experience played out.

I get invaded in the parish, I was looking around and couldn't see him, then wham he appears out of thin air with some mega fire spell from behind me, luckily I dodge it and run into the courtyard for some breathing room.

He was invisible most of the time so I turned my back to the wall and waited, then he approaches me hits me once with a hand axe and Curses me (through my shield) instant death. Being only lvl 28, the next 3 hours were spent fighting my way to Ingward to break the curse.

His name is "Gooseamongmoose"

If he invades you, prepare to die or Alt+f4.

You can also get them from Oswald, or the Female Undead Merchant. Probably save you a good.. 3 hours. :p

Lol. Ingward is cheapest, but female merchant from the depths is easiest, since he most likely hasn't killed the gargoyles yet. And the Parrish is not the burg.

Edit: invisibility could be a spell or a ring. Cursing hand Axe is a hack.

Use the mod to back up your saves so that if hacker kills you recovery is easy.

you could use a cursing stone , no need to fight your way to Ingward althogh it's still useful but if you want to get rid of a curse quickly it's better to buy it from the undead woman merchant in the sewers , unless you didn't have access there yet but the lower undead burg is probably easier to clear than new londo early on


Shame about that hacker though :(
if he really loves the game , he wouldn't do that , it just harms the community and puts off new players :(

On my first character I made the mistake of killing the bosses and nobody could invade me. So I started this character with an aim to get into PVP at low levels, but right now its hard to have any fun when people just backstab me from 15 meters away and blink all around the place, and when that's not happening I am being Cursed.

I really don't understand how these cheaters can feel anything but shame using lag-stab or hacking. The (taking candy from a baby) mentality behind it is unbelievably despicable. Feeding on the misery of other people is the most heinous act, but its the only reason they play. Its really hard to have faith in humanity these days, I feel so disconnected from this world sometimes.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but the exact same thing happened to me in undead burg!

I'm barely level 25 or something and was fighting guards in the room below the dragon when the screen suddenly said "XYZ Summoned" (note that it didn't say XYZ has invaded your world as per the usual) - this person teleported/rolled around glitchily, curse-killed me and left in a matter of 2-3 seconds.

Luckily I already have the basement key so I'm heading down to lower undead burg now. I just hope I have enough souls to buy the item from the merchant.
