I'm just stabbing in the dark because I saw a thread here yesterday where lowering it can help frames and some screenshots of how it looked, a really low setting gave a blurry effect.
also its not always blurry. the start was fine. then i got to firelink shrine and it started
Be sure to get the latest version which i believe is 2.2?
I don't believe the nexus has the latest version.
Correct me if I'm wrong someone.
I'll tell you this straight out, you are going to have to do your research to get this game right. Theres just too many variable with different systems and such to give a definite answer on a lot of different problems.
Make a plan once you discover all of the tools you need to get it fixed then pay attention what you do throughout the process so you can check yourself and the game one fix at a time.
(Everything that I have used has been drag and drop in the correct folders.)
But it is worth it when you do get it to work.
Which is strange. Are you forcing some settings from Graphics Drivers? If so - disable it - often causes problems.
To point out - make sure, you're using current DSfix, which is 2.2 - not the version from nexus, which is 2.01 - if you've installed a wrong version, you can either do another full reinstall or just download a newer version and overwrite old files - usually overwriting is enough.
If you checked that. Get back to editing ini file. Try disabling Skip Intro - that's the first thing that may cause problems. See if it helps. Disable unlockFPS - see if it helps. Disable enableTextureOverride - unless you're using modified textures, you don't need it anyway. Try setting aaQuality to 0 or switching AA to other one (yes, surprisingly, that also may cause crashes).
I'm using v.08 from Sep 2012. Most later versions crash my game.
This worked for me, thanks!
