Ceaseless Discharge won't fall...

So, Ceaseless Discharge won't fall off a cliff. He just hangs back and spams his fire attack. And it's ridiculous. Any tips on how to kill him?

I picked up the armor, and by grow his tentacle I don't know what you mean. He has a tentacle he uses for using the fire attack, but I'm not sure if that's it,

You have to get close to him to make him switch to melee mode. If you go too far, he switches to ranged mode (the fire blast attack). So get close to him and slowly back off while avoiding his attacks. At least this is how it is in theory, I never managed to make him follow me all the way to the boss gate. :)

A better way might be to just get close to him to a distance where he spams him single tentacle smash attack. That's easy to dodge and punish. You can try beating him that way.

If you used the shortcut when you raced him to the fog gate the first time, he gets really angry and starts shooting fire because he is a respected athlete among his peers and will not tolerate such unprofessionalism.

You have to run all the way back to the starting position where the gold hemmed robes are, wait for him to get back into position and then race him properly to the fog gate in a professional manner. I always bow before and after the race because I'm a good sport like that.

I've actually tried that Tups, but he one hit kills me with close range fire when I try to reach it. I'll try it a few more times later, as well as Malleus's suggestion. Thanks for the help!

You can use the shortcut to get to the body and "reset" him if that helps. Then like I said, wait for him and he'll sorta moan and shake brimstone off his body. That's the signal to start running, just don't use the shortcut heading back to the fog gate.

I've tried to make him fall, but I found that it was just easier to fight him. xD

what you can also do is sit in the short cut on the entance side and use the bend in the short cut to dodge his attakcs as his fire wont go through the wall then you can attack his tenticle at your leisure, just rinse and repeat.

The only thing difficult is that I'm a mage, so I'm squishy and not much close range dps. I'll keep trying though.

i heared if you run back to where you picked up the armor, then run back to the fog gate, he should fall. (sry if anyone already said)
