A nice place to farm: PWoA

More than 10k in less than a minute!

So I'm heading to NG+ and before that, I have to do a lot of things on NG. Had little souls when I defeated Bed of Chaos, so I went to farm more. A really nice place for that, in case some ppl didn't know, is Painted World of Ariamis. Go with ascended pyromancy flame (don't have to be +5, just ascended), Firestorm, Fire Tempest, Covetous Silver Serpent Ring and equip Symbol of Avarice right before the storm of souls. Please, note that you had to have advanced a bit in PW in order to do this!

Ok, so rest at the bonfire, equip the pyromancies, kill the undeads in the entrance and go through the gate to the phalanxes. I use the right path so I can get closer without getting hit. Now here you'll equip Symbol of Avarice. Right after you come out from behind the blocks that were protecting you, cast the pyromancy and keep walking to the phalanxes near you - facing them. You'll kill most of the phalanxes there, then you just have to go to the other side and cast the other pyromancy - the order doesn't really matter since both pyros seem to do the same thing. Sometimes you may not kill the amount you wanted with only one cast, but as long as you have a nice armor with nice poise and that you sure you won't die with a few hits from their spears, everything's fine. After you collect your +10k souls, rest at the bonfire and repeat ^^

Note: Don't rmb which one, but Quelana gives you one of the pyromancies I mentioned after you defeat Bed of Chaos. The same is available for 30k on her store before you defeat Bed of Chaos. Don't rmb if she drops it on death, but you might not want to kill her since she's the only one who can ascend the flame and enhance it. As for the other one... I think I got it down there in Lost Izalith? Sry, I don't rmb these details xD Chaos Storm is not that nice in here, it doesn't kill as much phalanxes as the other 2, so don't bother about it (not to mention that you'd have to spend like 30 humanities to get it).

You can also use soul spears or White dragon breath and spear through 1/3rd of them per cast.

On NG its like 12096 souls per run with both items (I think). The Ring of Fog is also useful here as it means they pretty much igonore you. :D

It's a well know farming spot, i personally used grea sycthe for its horizontal swing, can pretty much clear them in 2-3 hits due to its reach.

Another good spot is the tomb of the giants.
The area right before gravelord Nitos fog gate.
Those baby skeletons keep spawning, so you can stay there and kill them till you run out of estus or need to repair.

The best way to get souls in my opinion is to host for invaders. You get a ton load more of souls if you pvp. You get millions in under a short amount of time.

Yeah I either just farm the phalanx or this one when I need to.

Use the Ring of the Evil eye, for virtual infinite health! You get 30 health back for every one you kill, it's fast enough that you can even be toxined and gain health! :D

Oh and annnd brgin repair powder (or magic) because it can chew through weapons. It's really great spot for Humanity farming though rather than souls (make sure to use the first 10 :D)

I'm on NG+ already, made my way to Blighttown - now just have to go down that laggy hole -_- My bf told me about that spot, but I had no idea we could get so much from the phalanxes o.õ He farms before Nito. I tried to get there, but am too slow for the giants... They kill me way too fast with their op attacks :/ I used to farm in Anor Londo with the blue sentinels - before that with silver knights, but it was tiresome for me to keep running up and down :/ It's a funny fight and they give 3600 with the ring. Unfortunately I'm no PvP player >< I don't like PvP in PC bc of the cheaters. You never know when you'll come across one, so I rather avoid. But yeah, I left this here thinking some ppl may not know xD Hope it helps them x.x
