Nubby Question on the two serpents
So I beat Anor Londo and got the Lordvessel. To my understanding there are two serpents I can speak two (one in Firelink Shrine the other after I beat the boss in the abyss).

Can someone explain to me pretty much the pros and con as far as whom I speak to? From what I'm understanding it changes the ending and opens and closes certain options.

They don't really affect the ending. They just reveal a bit more about the story depending who you give it to.

If you bring the Lordvessel to Frampt, he will continue to serve as a way to 'sell' items but Kaathe in The Abyss will disappear for the rest of the game.

if you bring the Lordvessel to Kaathe, Frampt will disappear from the game but Kaathe will let you join The Dark Wraith Covenant after beating the New Londo Ruins boss.

is the whole selling thing worth it or am I better off farming souls when necessary?

one give you a covt, and the other allows you to sell things for pretty sub par prices to him

The serpants have no effect on the ending. The ending you get is determined by whether or not you kindle the last bonfire in the game. Each serpent will permantly leave if you place the lord vessel while the other is with you. You can quite easily use both serpants services but eventually you're going to need to place the lord vessel and one will leave.

As for grinding for souls or feeding them to Kingseeker Frampt- grinding is always going to be more effecient due to the low amounts Frampt will give you for your items. The Painted World Of Ariamis is the best place to grind for souls.

alright thank I see no point in Frampt then.

Well, he is useful if you want to get rid of a lot of items quickly. You could obviously drop them- but with Frampt you get souls. Plus, the two lowest soul items give more souls when fed to Frampt than when you use them!

Frampt barely gives souls for anything you`d actually give him. And he`s a liar. And an agent of the man who is a girl.

Kaathe and Chosen Undead, BFF 4lyfe.

Literally the only broadly useful function Frampt has is titanite splitting.

Souls at some point lose value though. Especially if you pvp.
You get millions of souls per pvp session, i see no point in keeping with Frampt if you can get souls much faster by just pvping or simply grinding them in PvE.
The serpent ring that boosts soul gain helps tremendously if you plan on doing the latter.
If you want to get rid of items faster, just drop them all and then rest on a bonfire. I find it a hassle to navigate the menu and then feed it to him, got to go through several checks before even selling it.

Titanite splitting isn't something i've personally used, so i guess that could come useful to more resourceful people.

I'd say stick with kaathe, even if you don't stick to darkwraith, you can always re-enter the covenant to purchase cracked orbs. Really useful if you plan on being in another covenant.

Kaathe ftw. If someone pays you to eat ♥♥♥♥ you bought from a zombie in a sewer, they shouldn't be put into a position that affects the outcome of the world.

Hmmm... o.o You just have to see it like this: if you are a PvP player, Kaathe is what you want. If you're PvE, Frampt is fine. There are some souls (and you should check wikia for that) that when fed to Frampt give you more on the counter than if you use them. It's also a good way to get rid of unnecessary stuff - even though the inventory is infinite, you will feel the need of carrying just waht you need if you eventually come to the point of using multiple gears for different strategies. If you have problems getting certain titanites, have a huge stack of one and doesn't want to farm for souls to buy the one you need, check on wikia which ones you feed to Frampt for him to give you the one you want (he doesn't give all kinds of titanites, though).

So yeah, more like this. Kaathe for PvP, is way more helpful, and Frampt for PvE.
