Underrated/Overrated cosplay builds?
What cosplay builds do you think are done too little or too much? I think Artorias is done a little too much, and it gives noobs an excuse to turtle with his greatshield. they should behave more like the Artorias fight, constantly using the special attacks and chaining together a ton of attacks devastating you, giving you no chance. As for underrated, I think Lautrec would be pretty cool. It would be fun to duel wield shotels.

Maiden cosplay.

Use nothing but miracles.

I think cosplays of hard-to-use characters would be more interesting. Iron Golem seems tough to pull off. No sheild, one weapon, really slow. But I think if someone got good as him, that would be amazing to fight against. Would dragon fist be allowed for that?

Another just silly cosplay would be an Oolacile resident. Bandit's,armor, Bloated head, Dual Cestus. Just silly fun times. I think a Giant would be interesting too. Giant's set, Giant Halberd, Giant Sheild, and they even get WOG and Heal. It would probably be real annoying to fight, but might be interesting.

As for over-used, I see full Solaire armor way too much. That is an armor set I will never set out to acquire. I love that guy.

Usually when you see cosplay builds that don't have any thought put into it, it's by some noob. You never see some really good player cosplay Solaire. You usually see them be creative characters, like pyramid head from silent hill.

I can see you've watched VaatiVidya too.
The thing with non-DS cosplays, though, is that most of the time the cosplay is completely lost on whoever you encounter. They think you're just some naked weirdo.

A few people can recognize the builds. Not to mention some builds are more universal, such as dracula, or wolverine.

I've been thinking about cosplaying as Chester, except you don't get the kick.

Similarly, if you could do the rage move as an undead hollow with a burning torch I reckon that would be awesome.

Wooden Scarecrow with the Four-Pronged Plow (easily the best weapon in the game) would be great, except you don't get the costume.

Probably the most viable and fun to play (for me) would be Ciaran.

Chester sounds like a major pain in the ass. Sniper crossbow is terrible and he has pretty much no melee attack :P but if you manage to pull of a few kills with him then I would be truly impressed.

Kirk, Knight of Thorns is just an entertaining one.

I don`t think I`ve ever Gwyndolin cosplay, which is sad, because I`d like to kill him more often.

Lady Darkling I`ve also never seen, but it`s a good set if you can deal with not having a shield.

And noone ever does Captain Kirk.

Didn't I just say I did that?

Nononono. "Captain" Kirk. As in James Tiberius Kirk. It`s actually pretty simple - use pyromancy flame, twohand, use R2 attack. Doublefist punching everyday. The fire damage is your burning manliness.

I cosplay as Hollow Soldiers at times with a +14 sword hilt. I also do rapier Balder knights and Ornstein. Least used is Solaire because everyone seems to want to be him.I also occasionally do Gwyn or a Silver knight. Lots of good armor/weapon sets.

Gwyn is actually surprisingly good for a lowlevel build. Great Lord Greatsword really shines at lowe levels.

I never see any onionbros, which is rather strange, as his armour and weapon set is pretty good.

The overused cosplay is in my opinion Ciaran. I've met around 30 of them in the Oolacile township.

edit: Most of them only dualwielded the gold tracer too. If they do a cosplay, they should do it properly.

His dragonbow + fist weapons for melee.
