Any way to still get this game?

It's killing me to know that there is one souls game out there that I haven't perfected achievement-wise as I have done so on pretty much every other FS title. However, the only legit way I can find to get this is to buy a key and those run upwards of 300 bucks. Am I simply SOL and waited too long? Or should I find someone who owns this game and very politely ask if they will share it with me? Thanks in advance for the help!

You can try to find pc copies with the codes still in them but thats like striking gold in it of itself. You could library share off of someone you know and play it that way and you'll still get the achievements. There are no other legal routes other than the ones i just listed

Family-Sharing a Steam-Account with a stranger would be quite a lot to ask for, since they'd have to give you their password and all to set it up. Giving random people your Steam account's login-credentials is just a bad idea in general.

Unless you get a lucky find of a physical GFWL-copy with an unused key inside (GFWL keys work on Steam), then the next best and much cheaper alternative would be to 100% trophies on PS3. If you don't own a PS3, it would only be like a 3rd of the price of a scalped steam-key, to get one + DS1, assuming you only spend 1 minute looking on places, like Ebay.

It'd be almost the exact same experience as you would get playing the PC version unmodded (720p/30FPS, possibly with dips, depending on your CPU), since PtdE on PC is a pretty bad port. You really aren't missing anything over DS:R here.

Thanks for the advice - it's true that it's a lot to ask, but as a Nigerian prince who needs some money I can guarantee I am very trustworthy. ;) I have the original and remastered perfected on Xbox and was hoping to do it again for this version too, but it seems like more trouble than it's worth. If any gracious person was willing to help a brother out I'd be very appreciative and respectful to not mess anything up or change something on accident, but I get it and will probably put this idea to bed.

All boxed copies I have seen are like for $200-300, where did you found them so cheap?

Classified websites. Boxed copies for $200+ are found on eBay and are stupidly overpriced.

Buying a third party Steam key is very expensive, at least right now. $300 to $400

FYI I sold a sealed GFWL copy last year and the buyer was NOT able to add the game to his library, the key was NOT recognized, he sent me the screenshots to prove it.

If not stating the obvious, somebody likely already used the key from an available list, and invalidated the real copy you sold, if it was a valid copy in the first place. Just saying...

You have a level 3 steam account and no other information available. Four steam forum posts in two threads, two of those here in this thread.

Just saying that buying a legit copy on eBay will no longer grant you access to the game. And yes my copy was 100% legit and sealed.

Haha you're right, I don't use Steam very much at all. All my major gaming stuff is on Xbox under the same name, including info about me to prove I'm not some boogeyman. As I said before, I understand it's a lot to ask and that's why I haven't been pressing the question. I know that I'm a trustworthy person but it's hard to convince people of that on the internet.
