DSFix language override does not work anymore

I played this game a long time with DSFix and the language changed to english, but it stopped working recently. Even a total reinstall did not help, DSFix does not change the language at all. Does anyone know how to get this to work again?

Just found a fix, changing the compatibility mode to Windows 8 does activate the language override.

I'd just like to say thanks, the compatibility mode fix worked.
I had just about given up on playing this game since most other threads with this problem were from 2015 and I refuse to play it in german.
