There are areas you can skip (like Lower Undead Burg, the Depths and 90% of Blight Town, for instance) if you have the Master Key. You can miss some items, but not permanently.
However, it's not like those areas will suddenly cease to exist, either - you can always go back to them. In fact, I like to finish the Depths before skipping Blight Town.
But it's not gamebreaking or anything if that's what you mean.
Astora straight sword has divine infusion, which prevents the necromancers in the catacombs from reviving them, killing the necromancers also fixes this.
You can create your own divine weapons after you kill the Moonlight Butterfly and get the divine ember, which does the same thing.
If you want to go there for kindling (more estus flasks), do it before Sen's.
The ring is after a golden fog, if I remember correctly. So no ring before Anor Londo.
Also it is a pain to get up to firelink without the lordvessel.
Ok, thanks. I know that there is a fog gate after the first skeleton beast, but I thought that it is golden before you get the lordvessel.
