Community question: good bosses to sunbro
Hi all. I'm considering making a multi-purpose sunbro that can help with the hardest bosses. To help determine the SL I need to reach, I'd like to ask the community which boss fight experiences benefit the most from having a sunbro alongside you?

Ornstein & Smough, Four Kings, Kalameet, Demon Firesage, etc. Any annoying bosses. I figure a sunbro would play support and ranged mostly. Believe it or not i'm sure if Great Heal heals other players but Soothing Sunlight definitely heals other players. So let's say you're a sunbro with a lot of faith you could cast great lightning spears at the bosses while maybe the host tanks and when there's a break between stages or the boss paused for some reason you could run to the host and cast great heal or soothing sunlight to heal them. All I know in regards to SL is that most people reach anor londo in between SL 40 and SL 60.

Ornstein and Smough is probably where people need the most help, for a lot of the other ones it depends on your build, apperantly a lot of people struggled with four kings, but as melee with shield it was a breeze, for a magic user it might not be.

Problem with Soothing Sunlight and Bountiful Sunlight is that you need to be in the Princess's Guard covenant, so they won't work when being summoned as a sunbro.

I don't think any heal besides the Sunlight miracles heal others either, though I could be wrong.

For OP, I've probably got summoned the most at Quelaag, though tbh I'm not too sure what the best level range for that boss is, just that people still wanted help at ~SL50. People tend to need more help early on, when they aren't quite as good or don't have decent gear.

G*ddamnit. I f*cking hate that. That really pisses me off. Being a sunbro is not just chucking lightning spears at things until they're dead. It's being a well rounded faith build. I think the fact that summons can't heals themselves is stupid and then the host is being in charge healing the summons with his own estus is even stupider. It doesn't make sense to me that one of the best healing miracles in the game can't be used by knights who swear the allegiance to the "sun". I mean casting Soothing Sunlight is basking everyone nearby in this this powerful warm healing glow (LIKE THE SUN). Not all sunbros are faith builds it is kind of meant to be group of cleric knights/paladins all trying to help eachother out and all that. Idk where i'm going with this rant but holy f*cking sh*t that pisses me off. If the Princess Guard covenant had some real online play use I wouldn't mind having to be in the covenant to use soothing sunlight and bountiful sunlight.

You can heal yourself as a phantom, you just have to use healing miracles. I always attune at least 1 heal whenever I'm looking to be summoned as a sunbro. If you've got the faith for the spears, you may as well take some heals when you can't estus. Also, while you don't get the shimmery gold sign as a Princess Guard, you still queue up easier with sunbros and way of whites since it is still a co-op covenant.

Phantoms can also heal to full via Humanity as well, just like invaders and hosts. Not even that hard to farm either, depending on how you choose to farm it.

This is all true I'm just frustrated by the fact that sunbros can't have the ultimate co-op healing miracle as part of their arsenal. Makes no sense imo.
