Report a translation problem
- Don't use sprint (only when attempting to clear this specific trap in question)
- Time your jumps between piles of spikes coming out of the floor, so that you jump just before you touch them. Don't overdo it, the purpose of this is to make your momentum let Randall (your character) jump the farthest he can - especially with the second, and decisive jump because wall-mounted moving spikes come after the second pile of spikes on the floor.
And just to make sure - you can press and hold the Crouch button mid-air, no timing is needed. Still, I kind of time it if it's me. A habit I guess. Good luck, hope you can get back to playing this wonderful game and enjoy it!
Took me about 20-30 times beofre I realised it was all about the timing on the first spike, its a bit of a crappy design.
