Textures wont appear on hammer

I would love to make a custom map but if the textures don't work there's no point.

Which game are you mapping for and how are you currently mounting custom textures.

I'm mapping for tf2 and using the basic hammer texure tools

Can you take a screenshot and post it here? Or explain wider, you create a block, but there's no texture on it?

Are you saying there are no textures at all or you can't add custom textures? Also just to make sure, you are in fact launching hammer.exe from tf2's bin folder right?

Okay are the textures not appearing in the texture browser or in the 3D view of hammer?

If it's the 3D view you might need to change the camera display, to do that click the word "Camera" in the upper left corner of the window and choose 3D Textured

I know how to change the camra angle, the texures aren't appearing on the 2D or 3D angles

I was thinking the same (3D Textured).Try reinstalling your hammer

I've done this too and reinstalled. I have tried for tf2, css,gmod and I don't see the textures appear on the objects at all.

This didn't work for me, i've tested all cameras and it doesn't show up. Also, because of that, i can't place any objects in the map :/
