where the hell do I install source sdk 2006

I have Source SDK Base 2007 and Half-Life 2, but I can't modify hl2 singleplayer. I've heard that I need Source SDK Base 2006 too, but I can't find a single steam install or store page link anywhere on the internet, and "source sdk" doesn't return anything when searching on steam.

If you want to make a singleplayer HL2 mod use Source SDK 2013. More specifically I would use mapbase at this point

Go to library, click where it says games, check the box for tools, and you'll be able to find it in the list.
