Xana or Leanna
If you were Sareth, which one will you choose? Xana or Leanna?
As for me, I like them both, but Xana more. Her voice, her temperament... and she is prettier.

Anyway, as I said in my previous post, her ending indicates where she stands pretty well, since she's willing to sacrifice herself for Sareth to allow him to escape (not that that needs to be done)
Leanna does this same, she's trying to protect Sareth from Kha-Beleth. So both, Xana and Leanna get some hurt in endings.

I'm also thinking about Sareth's first dream / vision the one with Xana in succubus form. She's telling you that "you will learn to enjoy the pain". You don't suffer while you're with her, but you losing health in demon form. That would mean it's better stay human even if you're son of Demon Lord. Ain't easy to have hellish parent in this world.

And I'm also thinking about Menelag. So he's a friend of Phenrig and they've "mutual interests". That means both of them are demon's servants. Yet Menelag wanted Leanna to lead expedition to Temple Island. But why? Leanna is "that good one" and Melelag didn't tell her who Sareth truly is.
Though, Menelag cannot be that bad. Stonehelm doesn't look like place of suffering and decay.

So I rather stay with Xana. But I'm not 100% convinced.

My point was not about Leanna when saying that particular thing. The point is that Xana isn't just attracted to the power Sareth has, since that would be useless to her if she's dead.
well it would only feel like my soul would be sucked out of my ♥♥♥♥ if i went with the demon girl lol

so leanna for me even though she overcame the tragedy of loosing her father and never ever mention it again

And I still stand by the opinion that Leanna is far worse because she'll try to kill her savior over not purging a demon that's her savior's savoir.

"You may have saved my life, and she saved you, but since you didn't get rid of her, I have to kill you now. Why? Because she's a demon! You betrayed us! Even though you STILL want to stop your evil demon father."

Not okay Leanna... not okay.

... Of course, beng nice didn't stop me from gutting Leanna, but that was in self defense. If I could have solved it diplomatically I would have, but Dark Messiah isn't that kind of game.

/Spoilers!!!

My thoughts exactly.
"- Sareth what's that aura?
- Well, you know it's kind of complica...
- Don't say, it's not a problem, just go and clean yourself. I miss Sareth I met first time..."

Wait a minute! You miss what? How Sareth saved you the first time? What's wrong with it now?! Was this time not stylish enough or something? Maybe he should have been juggling all the daggers he had in his inventory, throught that spider fight?
Pretty much same circumstances if you ask me, oh wait... Sareth stinks this time, that's the problem. Sareth go wash yourself...
Seriously?!

Didn't purge Xana because she actually saves Sareth and doing her best to help along the way, unlike the lady in question. And she isn't that evil either. No pink ponies or fluffy bunnies of course, but she isn't trying to burn anything around to ashes.
I did decide that Sareth has to go to the temple though, all the way to those steps before basin and stand in front of it for a second ot two, just to let Xana freak out a little. I guess he will need to rein that little demoness slightly from time to time.))

Oh well, to the topic. Actually you don't have to kill Leanna when she starts trowing firearrows at you at the necropolis entrance. That quest is optional. You can just ignore her and be on your way.
Earthfire shield or ring of fire protection can negate her damage drasticaly, so you can just demonstratively turn your back on her, walk to the wheel in the corner turn it and leave that screaming girl without loosing your dignity.
Stealthy characters can just run to that very corner. It's pretty dark in there, so she will loose you and won't be able to hit you properly, or will be standing right next to you looking at turning wheel and explaining that you can't hide forever and you better turn yourself in right now.))
Mages should have sanctuary by that time, so they can ignore pretty much everything, not just this pipsqueak.
If you leave her there - that's it. You won't be hearing of her anymore. I guess she gets offended and goes home.
You will loose a few skillpoints this way though, since the quest will not be counted as finished, but that is insignificant.

Honestly, I like them both, but Leanna is quite close minded about the whole "demon inside you" thing.
I wouldn't blame her though, demons are generally speaking quite horrid things. Yet Xana is different in that she is an "honest" demon and actually not that bad. This is evident in how dedicated she is to Sareth, disregarding his powers even. Her only weakness seems to be extreme jealousy and perhaps a little obsessive. But these are forgivable qualities, provided that you don't upset her.
What I personally do every play-through is save Leanna, don't purge Xana (sometimes i go to the fountain in the temple though just to hear her freak out a little...), and then simply ignore Leanna as she tries to kill you. Then I imprison Sareth's daddy, and assuming that I can do whatever I want now, I get rid of all the necromancers and rebuild stonehelm. With luck perhaps Leanna will forgive you later and see sense... (But who knows, maybe she's just jealous of Xana)
An old topic, but the game still lives, so why should i bother myself with numbers?

Xana. She is not honest out of fear and giving very little information about anything but it is still better than pesky little girl that just won't listen, won't respect or accept. Always ignore her above Necropolis for that's exactly what she deserves. My Sareth is paying the debt (not being able to save Menelag) in full by saving her ass from Heresh and by purging all enemies seen during "City in Flames" act. Why should i like a person as selfish as Leanna? Even when Xana is trying to stop Sareth from getting closer to "sacred pond" (or whatever they call it), she's using very weak spells - weaker than Leanna's flame arrows and it means something. At least to me.
I love going with Xana and betraying my father. Demon form adds some nice variety and I prefer Xana as a companion anyway. I like the fact that even though she's a demon she's not all murder, death, kill etc. After all you can't help what you're born into.

Although I find I need to use the 'normal health' mod if I'm to make use of demon form on higher difficulties. Enemies with such high hp make it far more likely for your squishy self to die when they take much longer to kill.

A choice between a literal semen demon or someone who nags and criticizes you all the time.
the demon powers are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful, Leanna also actually helps in battles cause I'm trash at video games while Xana just speaks inside your head, overall if you don't care about the story and just want to have good weapons just purge Xana, It's way better since the demon powers apparently don't even make you faster, it just increases your fov, so the only thing you're getting is an attack with 2 damage and the reach worse than using a candy bar to fight.

And also keep on losing your health.
On higher levels it doesn't matter what type of weapons player is using. Against simple ghoul weapons are reduced to their blocking function. Demon form is just tough to control. Slightly faster (using legs and arms) and the only way to fight anything without the "help" from enviornment or glitches. You kill to get health. Or die trying.
The main difference lies with how both girls treats our avatar. Xana's role is limited to a guide. She can't do much without external help (revival via skull). In fact her straw is always short. A servant that want to survive and change her fate. Leanna is rather different. She's a mage's pupil from big house, an inexperienced girl seeking her perfect love. She lacks perspective while thinking that world is only black and white.
Saving Leanna requires me to venture into a cavern infested with giant spiders, and confronting an even bigger spider in the heart of its own lair.

Nope, I'd rather unleash an army of demons upon the land, than have to deal with that crap!
