How do I play in Windowed mode? (resolved)

The dropdown menu in video options only allows Fullscreen (which raises the question of why there even is a dropdown menu for that).

mat_setvideomode [resolution] 1. So "mat_setvideomode 1280 720 1" would be 1280x720 windowed. I believe if you change the 1 into a 2 you get borderless windowed mode.

You could either type it in console (run the game with -console), or run the game with "+mat_setvideomode 1280 720 1" as launch parameter.

... Thanks, HOW do I input that? I don't see any keybindings in the options menu for "open console" and I didn't know that launch peramiters were an editable thing outside of just going in to the files until now.

when setting launch options + is used to run console commands and - is for config options? or whats the difference?

- is for launch parameters (ex: -novid)
+ is for console commands (ex: +exec autoexec.cfg)

I got this working:
-dxlevel 90 -heapsize 2097152 -novid +datacachesize "128" +mat_setvideomode 3840 2160 1

Go to Steam Library > Dark Messiah > Properties
General Tab
Type those parameters into "Launch Options"
