Overlay / Screenshots Not Working?

They aren't working for me. Even making a shortcut doesn't help (common workaround when a game has the overlay off by default).

I see screenshots up, though. Any idea how to fix this issue?

I have the same problem here. Fraps working, but can't take screenshots the normal way. Anyone else?

I did have trouble once, but I restarted the game and it fixed it... No idea.

I figured out the problem - FRAPS. For some reason certain games won't work with the overlay if FRAPS is on.

That's been an issue for like the past 3 years or so, you'd think they'd fix that by now. I think FRAPS' development became too difficult to keep up with changing tech and those working on it dropped it.

Steam Overlay / Screenshots works. I make videos with shadow play - works.

I never ran into these issues until recently - after Steam added its own framerate counter. I wonder if that's part of the issue? And it's weird that it's only certain games.

@jinx: Thank you, removing fraps worked for me. Still strange that only Arkham Knight got this issue with steam overlay.

Possibly. Seems like every time one entity (Steam) changes something, one FRAPS feature or other goes toes-up again until it's fixed.
