Stagg Airship/Cloudburst/fatal error glitch
Just wanted to share this major glitch I found playing about an hour ago.

So when you get to where you have to investigate the seismic activity... If you go to Stagg Airships and enter the room where Stagg is, Batman will walk backwards in front of the door, talk, go through the door (still backwards), and once you get shot and killed by the henchman the game crashes and gives a fatal error.

You can actually get out of this by opening up the missions, selecting another mission, waiting a few more seconds, select smoke pellet from the gadgets menu, throw down smoke, and go up to a vantage point. Complete the room and find and interrogate Stagg abotu the Cloudburst.

If you go outside... Yeah, you didn't get to the Cloudburst part. I honestly sat there just like... http://i.imgur.com/V0konGJ.gif "Wait, there's no Cloudburst... yet... Uhm..." I try to spawn the Batmobile, "I need to repair the Batmobile first." "I didn't know you broke it already!" So blah blah blah, it all continues, and you can continue up until the finale part of the game I guess... but it's the weirdest thing.

This fatal error and major game breaking glitch could have been avoided by simply locking the door. o_O

Something... anyways. Just thought it was hilarious. Hope it's fixed. Uninstalled until a couple of patches arrive, hopefully fixing this too. I almost beat NG+, don't mind starting over. *shrugs*

PS. I was trying to collect as many Riddler trophies as I could before I finished the main story in NG+... That's how this happened. XD

Is this near the end or when Stagg is locked in that cage just before you confront Scarecrow?

I just got to the part where he's in the cage but I missed talkign to him and went thru the big door by accident, now I go back and Stagg's dead in the cage. What did I miss by not talking to him first?

Batman tells Stagg that he lied and then knocks him out and leaves him in the cage. I'm guessing that the gas won't hurt him as much while unconcious.

No. When you're doing the main missions, Alfred will tell you about the seismic activity. I went to where Stagg is like RIGHT BEFORE I was going to go investigate the seismic activity. Glitch happened. He's hiding under the floor or whatever. I go back outside and Batman's like "I can't spawn the Batmobile when it's in need of repair." and I'm like "We... haven't gotten to that part yet. What repair?"
Excuse me please, but where I can add these commands which you mentioned above?

It was a joke. ;-)
Only hope for a debug mode if it will be good!
So this glitch can still happen. Google led me here. I was just barely able to fix it by restoring a backup save that the game keeps. Backups are in documents/WB Games/ Batman AK/ some numbers/ savegame/ backup. The oldest backup there was just a few minutes before I entered the airship. Replace your current save in the steam folder with the backup.
Can confirm - Bug still exists. Sadly all my attempts to do something to free myself overwrote my backup files.
They were useless. Bugged in everyone of them.
The 0x0 and 0x1 files seem to be backed up. But once I deleted the file with the 0x2 my entire story progress was gone (had normal mode done with 116% and the story+ mode mith over 70% when the bug happend)

In short: you could loose your savegame just like me.

I am done with this game.
@TheLegend, after unlocking the Voice Synthesizer, you're supposed to enter as scripted from the damaged nose cone of Airship 2. It's not a bug, you just have to stick to the script in the Airships. It's easy enough to fix, there's no need to quit. Review these topics:

If your first 2 backups from the main menu don't take you back far enough, review the entire backwind procedure to use the backups from the Documents folder:

Locate the Documents backups folder: C: \ Users \ Owner \ Documents \ WB Games \ Batman Arkham Knight \ Steam Member Number \ SaveData \ backup

Copy files from the Documents backups folder to a temporary desktop folder for safekeeping, edit the datestamps of them, drop them into the Remote folder and then play forward:
Steam \ userdata \ Steam User Number \ 208650 \ remote

You really only need a BAK1Save0x0.sgd file to get this working. On recent versions of Windows 10 you should be able to drop a swapped save directly into an empty save slot in the Remote folder. On Windows 8.1 and early Windows 10 editions you'll need some preexisting progress in order for the swapped backup saves to properly overwrite the bad saves; or you can start a new game, skip through the opening cutscenes and quit to the desktop from inside the diner scene before you load the swapped backups into the Remote folder. Let us know your results.
