Who actually does all the Riddler trophies?

In the first game I actually took a perverse pleasure in avoiding getting them just to spite him lol

I have so far got them all in asylum and city, only 26 left in origins and still on first playthrough of knight.

In Arkham Asylum you don't meet Riddler. When only several riddles are left Batman will call police and tell his location in Gotham (based on found riddles, it seems). Then after finding last riddle Riddler will call and say smth like he doesn't believe it and you've cheated. Then police bursts in.

In Arkham City after finding last trophy you get Riddler's location inside city(Oracle calls?) and then you go and defeat him in a little simple game(no fighting required).

In Arkahm Origins Riddler will simply call and tell you smth like "we'll meet again and I'll defeat you blah blah".

I just got them all. My game glitched out and no longer showed the trophies locations on Founder's island, but I later found it it gave me credit for them. I then only had to get the trophies in the Arkham Knight HQ and Stagg's airship. I'll fight riddler later on today.

Only a handful are frustrating to get; other than that it's just tedious AF. I just got them to shut him up; he's annoying.

I did it twice, and hated every minute of it. But beating the ♥♥♥♥ out of Nigma was worth it.
