There's a creepy cheat detection glitch - I'm not making this up

Okay, before I begin, let me say this: I know this absolutely sounds like creepypasta material but you have to believe me when I say I think whoever updated KotOR II also added in a cheat detection glitch that is incredibly creepy.

I'll admit, I'm a dirty, filthy, cheater. I always have been with the KotOR games. I don't really care, though. It's a single player game and I like to have as many credits as possible. So I use the save editor to give me millions of credits from the get-go, as well as a couple additional force powers since I'm a jedi consular and at level 1 consulars should recieve 2 powers.

I play through Peragus, get to Telos, and I go through the missions. I get arrested, Batu Rem tries killing me, I go into the private quarters, etc. By this point though I've purchased literally all of the merchants' finite goods and I accidentally achieved the 10,000 credits achievement, so I'm pretty decked out in some awesome loot. I save and I quit.

I stopped playing for a few days though, and gave a few other games a shot. After a week I decide to continue my game on KotOR II. I load my save and everything is different.

I'm in apartment 082. I'm alone. I'm naked. And all of a sudden I'm a white guy (my character is a black girl) with a lightsaber and a blaster called "killblaster".

Lieutenant Grenn and two security personel are the only people in this room and he says to me,

"These will serve as your quarters for the duration of your house arrest. Two officers will be stationed outside at all times.

Again, I'll clear any visitors. There won't be another 'incident'."

I can't leave the apartments. I'm effectively stuck, and every time I reload my save I go back into this room with lieutenant Grenn saying the same thing.

I end up realizing how to fix this, though. I load an older save, then re-load the newest save, and all of a sudden everything's okay, and I keep playing my game.

I continue playing all the way through Citadel Station, and eventually I get onto the shuttle for the surface. The shuttle gets shot down, Bao-Dur rescues me, and I decide to save by this point. I quit playing for about a week again but, now that I have more free time, decide to play the game again.

Again, i'm the same naked white guy with the lightsaber and the killblaster. But this time I'm no longer under house arrest. I'm dead. The shuttle has crashed and instead of Bao-Dur rescuing me, he just watched my 'character' lay on the ground, lifeless. Only the wind sound is playing and I'm technically in a cut scene so I can't do anything.

Is this something other people have experienced? I've looked everywhere for something similar, but I can't find anything. Please tell me I'm not crazy.

You're not crazy, just paranoid...

You broke your savegame in hilarious ways, causing the game to bug out completely.

what would the game consider to be cheating? I know I've accidentally duped my saber with my personal crystal, before I even knew that was a thing.

Ingame console commands - That's pretty much it. And as far as I can recall it doesn't affect the game in the slightest (aside from anything you break yourself of course)

This exact same thing happened to me the other day leaving the Telos Academy. After the cutscene my screen would go completely black, I tried saving and reloading the save and I now had a black female portrait with a blue lightsaber and a blaster pistol named killblaster, I also had a totally different set of skills and powers. Odd.

I have the same issue, although no cheats have been used. I am just using the steam version plus the TSLRCM from the workshop. I did a quicksave, messed up a conversation, reloaded the quicksave (which actually crashed at first) upon restarting and reloading the quick save I had the same situation as the OP: white lightside male jedi, with a black girl icon, and the KillBlaster :\ Lost some time since I had been rolling on the quick save for an hour or two.

Actually, all my saves since the one prior to my quick save are doing the same thing :( I went back to the non-messed up one, did a couple things, saved, and then reloaded. It's doing the same thing as the quick save. Will be pretty brutal to finish the game as I am on the first planet.

edit: Actually all my saves now except the autosave are doing the same thing :( WTF.

Okay, so I guess I was definitely wrong, and it's not a cheat detection glitch. But I haven't ever experienced this until after I used TSLRCM on the Workshop. Sounds like there might be a problem with it, then.

I have just tried to load my under 1 hour save and have the same white dude with light saber thing happen. I have nothing installed but the base game. WTF?

Only as has been pointed out by many this isn't just something that affects people who cheat. It's a bug. A pretty serious one all things considered.

I didn't cheat and that happened to me at the start of the game. I was just in the security room after getting out of the kolto tank, my game crashed, I realoaded, but it did the kolto tank cutscene with the white guy holding a lightsaber, and i checked and he had a killblaster. I just figured it was broken testing data with one of the mods, but I guess not.

I just decided to look this up to see if anyone else is dealing with this mysterious character. In the past I just quickly reload the save (the save I just loaded and got the jedi worth 2 weapons) and it goes back to normal.

Sounds like something might be tripping a flag or causing a glitch that sends you to a dev room or emergency default state (something set up to keep the game from infinitely hanging if, for whatever eason, it fails to load properly).
