This game will run on my laptop? BFG or original D3?
This game will run on my laptop?
my speс.:
OS: Windows 10
CPU Brand: Intel
CPU: Cherry Trail Z8300
GPU: Intel HD Graphic(Gen8)
Core: Quad Core, 1.44GHz
RAM: 2GB

MINIMUM for BFG: OS:Windows vista/ Windows 7 Processor:2.0 GHz dual core Memory:3 GB RAM Graphics:NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT / ATI Radeon HD 5750, 512 MB video RAM
and
MINIMUM for original DOOM3 Processor: Pentium®IV 1.5 GHz or Athlon® XP 1500+ processor or higher Memory: 384 MB RAM Graphics: 100% DirectX® 9.0b compatible 64MB

a very big difference in the requirements, and I wonder how exaggerated requirements BFG. It will launch at 2GB of RAM? anybody?:lampoff:

I can't say for sure, but I have a feeling the higher requirements for the BFG edition have more to do with when it was released than what's actually necessary to run it smoothly.

That said, from what I've read on this board and elsewhere, the better buy is the original DOOM 3, so long as you add mods. I think this is because the original game was built and designed for PC, whereas the BFG edition was made for consoles as well as the PC.

Hopefully someone else with more information and actual gameplay experience will answer you while both games are on sale. They'd definitely be able to help you more than I could.

No, this will not run (or if it will, but it will be slow and it will have a lot of various issues), while your CPU is so-so passable for original Doom 3, your GPU (or better say IGP) is utterly insufficient for both.

you even drop below 25 fps in that game and it is not what normal people would call playable.

both your graphics and cpu are abysmally slow and not even remotely close to meeting min requirements for games made in the last 5-6 years.

your gpu cant even get 20 fps in most half way modern games even at very lowest settings and 1024x768 or even 800x600. http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Graphics-Cherry-Trail-Benchmarks.140902.0.html

basically your gpu is not even half as fast as the HD 4000 graphics which are already pitiful. you have much less gpu power than low end desktop cards from 2008 like the 8600 gt.

and just one core of a modern i5 would run rings around that little Atom quad. even something like an old Core 2 duo E8500 form 2008 would be several times faster than your cpu.

and you have to be kidding trying to play games with 2 GB of ram. even my phone has more ram than that.

GPU: Intel HD Graphic(Gen8) is the issue, openGL driver is bad on intel hd graphic.

Honestly, I have an integrated graphics card on my computer and it runs just fine. Although it does lose frames sometimes. That being said, it will NOT run on your computer due to the fact that you only have 2 gigs of ram. You're computer can not utilize all of the ram due to using some of it through background processes that are required for your computer to work right, so technically you have use of about 1.5 gigs of ram on a good day, which is half of what you need in order to run the game smoothly. You could possibly run it at about 20 fps which would just be painful considering that it lags at anything lower than 53fps. So, if I was you I would not get the BFG Edition unless you only wanted it for the original DOOM games. However, I see no problems with you're computer playing the original DOOM 3. I'd try to get the BFG edition first, if you're computer can't run it (probably not) fet a refund and try the Original DOOM 3. If your computer can't run the original version (it probably can run it) then you can get a refund for that, so long as you don't have 2 hours or more of playtime.

Keep in mind that it takes a few days for the refund to go though, so if you do try to do my method, you'll have to wait for the Winter Sale at the end of the month to try DOOM 3 at a lower price, after trying the BFG edition.

"I have an integrated graphics card"

that means nothing without saying the actual gpu as there are tons of integrated gpus with a massive range of performance between them.
