Why do people join multiplayer just to AFK

Every time i join defense missions or colossi people just sit and leech xp/loot.
Why?

Because they can do work on their computer while farming XP?

Then you shouldn't be playing videogames if you are working. It's such an L mentality to join multiplayer experiences and expect everyone else to just carry you through it because you don't have time for it.

Okay fair, but still i doubt they will ban anyone that AFK's without using a bot/software. What im trying to say is, if you play 9 hours and then 1 hour you AFK in idk some activity like wave defends, they arent going to ban you.

They care more about the money, like i personally spent over 700EUR on the game, no way they would ban me for 10% AFK

AFKing is a bannable offense else there wouldn't be a report button specifically for people who afk.

And I see your point, I also spent around 150-200€ on this currently, but If I don't have the time to play or I am in the middle of something, I either do solo content or I don't play at all. I don't queue for multiplayer content and expect everyone else to do the content for me.

Doesn't matter if it's here, in WoW, League, CS, whatever it might be, you'll either get kicked or banned because you are still a liability in the end and in some scenarios like void intercept battles, you are actively sabotaging your team if you queue up just to afk the boss.

If somebody AFK the whole instance/colossus fight, it's an instant report.
AFKers are the bane of modern coop online game...

AFKing is a bannable offense else there wouldn't be a report button specifically for people who afk.

Those are PVP games, they arent going to ban for small amounts of AFK especially because they value whales
