How well do you think this will work as a Solo experience?
The only bit of this game I've played before was the alpha which I really enjoyed. But my friends don't play games like this, do you guys think it'll work as a solo game or will I have to team up with people eventually?:karrynComfy:

You can play solo if you choose, but the matchmaking works well in the game

Thats depend.
Grinding in the open world is more adapted for two players. I mean you can do this, but sometimes it can be failable.
Dungeons not adapted for single player (you can do them if you are a shooter player, but sometimes still can be hard).
Boss portals scaled for single player since technical beta, so its you can do it solo (and if you know how to play - it will be better than group atm).
Anyway, you always can enter to matchmaking.
So, you no need team up (well at least for leveling up to lvl19 as it was on technical beta), but you should if you can.

That sounds good, so long as I don't have to talk to people I'll be good. I'll try to see if I can convince my friend to try it one of these days.

when you go to a mission you can join or create private. if your in a team only the leader can join or create lobbies. If your by yourself you can just join any ongoing mission in your instance or start one. You can start a private match and ensure you're left alone if you want or let people drop in if they want. On full release we will be able to change difficulty at the terminal in the warp-in room so people who are far in will be playing on harder tiers which should ensure the people you run into will mostly be playing for the story/levelling experience

I spent most of the crossplay beta, solo except for void raids. Its fine. It was much much easier with groups during the tech test but generally the game is fairly easy so going solo is fine.

You don't need to talk to anyone, Everyone knows what to do unless they are complete noobs.

You can easily roam the open world area and solo. Then auto join groups for dungeons or bosses and jump back out into the solo experience on done.

I've been wondering the same and not sure if any friend will be playing.

If you need a battle-partner, feel free to friend request. I have a good bit of social anxiety I struggle with, so guaranteed won't be using the mic and therefor you don't have to speak.

I'm also the kinda player who doesn't care much for maximum benefits, would never judge you for a mistake or so. I play to relax and don't get frustrated if our progress (or difficulty level) isn't optimum. But I also don't screw around to ruin things on purpose, or ragequit heh.

So, in the case you find yourself in a situation where you can't find anyone to play with, feel free to msg or something :)

Either way, good soloing and co-op friend luck o/

You might have an issue with the higher level voidwalker/colossus for materials. Pugs do not do well against them...

But generally, all the other content is doable solo or with the random matchmaking. Of course if you want to push for higher waves for better rewards, same problem as most tend to bail early and it's impossible to clear without a team.

i have not seen end end game content so not sure if they are impossible or not. but it takes soo much from warframe, i really doubt as a solo player u wouldnt be able to do it. while u can go into anything private and truely solo, u can que for everything. so u can be with randoms not talking to each other at all times

The higher level colossi need real team work. E.g who picks up football and such and coordinate or gather torches so no one freezes or unfreeze the frozen...E.g hangman , frostwalker.

Not just pew pew, shoot all day. Solo has to deal with full force of the lethal damage as you are the only one being chased as well as whatever status effect being spammed...
