what happened to the company?
all i know is that nyu media shut down and they couldn't contact the devs but does anyone have a more detailed explanation? is there no way to buy their games? they don't seem to have a homepage anymore

That's sad to hear. I looked a bit for options to buy the games on Japanese sites, but wasn't successful. But Melonbooks still sells the digital soundtracks for eXceed 2nd - VAMPIRE REX and eXceed 3rd - Jade Penetrate Black Package.

I'd love to find and play the original eXceed 3rd - Jade Penetrate (not Black Package).
