Can I change the language to Japanese?

I am sorry, but Japanese is unfortunately not available. This release is not published by Falcom, but by the English localizers, XSEED Games.

As with DVDs in the 90s (when many publishers still thought it was okay selling DVDs only with localized audio tracks), I've made it a principle to tell publishers the following:

Not including the original language version is unacceptable in this day and age. (<--- This centence ended with a period for a reason. There is no 'but' or 'if'.)

Sorry for the Necro, but does this really work?? I would buy all the Ys games if this does work but I don't see how they wouldn't include the ♥♥♥ interface if all the files are already downloaded to your computer

I just checked and can confirm. I believe applocale is not supported by newer versions of windows though, or at least not officially (it works fine in Win7, I dunno about 8 or 10), though you can still just change your system's locale to Japanese if it doesn't work.
