Dondoko Island -Which items should I sell?
Hi everyone, just a little question
Which Items are safe to sell?
I saw that you can create souvenirs and some items need resources to build like pearls, gold etc.
But what is with Insects, Corals etc.?
Is it safe to sell them or do I need them to build/create something later?

you can sell your insects and corals. Usually some guests like to be gifted some rare bugs but the souvenir gifts give much more points to the satisfaction points, for example bug gift +100 while souvenir gifts go from +110 to even +200

i sold everything from the start, everything is safe to sell since you can farm them again. i just use the vegetables for souvenirs cause you get a lot of those.

if you want to save something, save sea beam, its needed on just 1 item and you might not want that item, but its hard to farm due to RNG. so just in case.

but you can try to save diamond and platinum, 5 each if you want to craft cabaret. 10 gold and 10 pearl if you want to craft the temple, and 10 gold if you want to craft the large statue. 3 yeti, 3 dinosaur and 3 gold for ichiban and mascot statue.

but this is only if you want to just craft 1 each, i saw someone craft a lot of ichiban/mascot statue, to get more satisfaction and popularity, so he/she probably save a lot of gold, dinosaur and yeti. but it will turn your island ugly. lol. you can check that one island if you can now go online, search for the highest satisfaction and popularity.

Some of the surplus buildings can be sold in the range of a few hundred thousand Dokobucks each, if you have a lot of spare materials to craft extras. The ones that require gold/pearls and such are worth even more; high Satisfaction is generally an indicator of higher value. That said, once you hit chapter 8/9 and can use the Host skill Golden Finger to steal from crowned enemies around town/in dungeons, Dondoko island will be completely redundant for your money making.

As this is top of google and I found no other answers..

You can sell all critters/minerals/etc you found EXCEPT those:
Plants: potatoes, daikons, carrots, onions, tomatoes, garlic, mushrooms, toxic shrooms, peppers, nuts, herbs
Fish: Scuttler, Sea Bream, Bluefin Tuna
Insects: Red Dondo bugs, Green Dondo bugs
Minerals/shells/pickups: Mollusks, Stones, Dinosaur/Yeti fossils, raw diamond/platinum/sapphire/ruby ores, gold ores, pearls,
Other: Sirloin (Dodonko Gaijimon battle reward), Eggs (from chicken coop)

For most plants you can build plant buckets later, to have them farmed daily, so selling is not a big deal, and sea bream/tuna are only used for two pretty bad buildings.

In detail, here is what they're used for:

Gifts:

Just a friendly reminder, do not ever convert Dokobucks to cash. You will earn MUCH more money just from doing dungeons and you'll level up and get gear/upgrade materials as well. Save your Dokobucks to buy buildings/furnishings to save time farming materials (especially for the stuff that requires rare materials). The conversion rate is awful compared to what you can buy with the Dokobucks from your crafted catalog.
