Rogue: Genesia
What weapons does ''Area'' Soul-card affect?
Soulcard Tooltip: Increase most area-based attack range by X%.

I for sure know it affects Death Aura or Fire Ring.

What about projectile based weapons like for example Cleaver or Magic Wisp?

I think it affects your pickup range too. but not 100%
It does affect attack range on Katana, which you would not expect to be as good as it actually is.

Oh interesting.. didn't even think about such possibility.
I hope one day we'll have some comprehensive information source like for example wikipedia stating all the interactions between things.

That ''most area-based attack range'' statement i start to lean on more and more.
And yeah.. Katana isn't my fav either ^^' Maybe i haven't realized it's utility yet, similarly to some other weapons but i don't know..
Hopefully it's gonna get some rework to be more competetive.

the key for katana is to evolve it for silph ><...
that weapon is the nr1 strongest weapon in the entire game.
Heck, even katana without evo is strong as hell if you just build for it

Yeah the evolved weapons are quite the thing.
Honestly even something that may seem weak at first glance like Cleaver has it's utility, so with right build i believe every weapon is capable of shining.
I definitely gotta give the Katana a proper chance and experiment.
The weirdest interaction is that the Area card seems to make the Thunder Staff's orbiting projectiles bigger. You'd think that would be a projectile size thing, but...

I would have to argue that Void Wisp is even stronger. Got to the point where I would go down to 5 or less FPS, with a possible crash, just by using it, due to it filling the screen with nothing but purple streaks...

Hmmm.. do you know if projectile size stat itself increase the Thunder Staff's orbiting projectiles?
If i were to guess, maybe the mechanics of the orbiting projectiles is that of a circle, where ''edge'' of circle is the trajectory for the projectiles. As the area increases, maybe the circle outermost line gets bigger too and thus the path for projectiles to travel also gets bigger.
Idk just a theory lol.

Oh yeah i love the Void Wisp. It seems extremely efficient as it basically has potential of covering entire screen and beyond, literally not even giving 1 second for enemies to appear into visible range. And the field of death it creates my god..

Oh and btw. if you didn't know already and are interested in fixing the FPS issue, you can turn the options to the lowest and it not only can help with FPS but also tremendously help with locating the crates and food (for example for healing or the damage increase for Pork Statue artifact).
I guess it's also less dopaminergic this way which might be considered a plus for some.
