Upgrade "and will no longer be useable"
Well, the news is very good: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/206420/view/3646256550316263153
but what means that the other versión will no longer be usable?

Unlike, say, Skyrim. When they updated that one to "Special Edition", they left the old one for people who wanted for some reason to run it. (both are still in my library, I just set the old one to hidden). In this case, it sounds like the 'old' version of SR4 will disappear from your library, it'll only show the remaster.

All existing saint row games will be upgraded into re-elected edition and that will be only available edition of game in store. So after upgrade there will be no other versions available.

but the old version also will be replaced on the libraries? What if I want to play that version and no the new, for example if I have potato computer or something like that making me prefer the old version
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

You Know Skyrim and Skyrim SE aren't the exact same thing right?

Probably because of the new crossplay thing. They want people to play the "new" version with that implemented. It should be the same game, hopefully that's not a lie lol.

But the coop is a glitchy mess, constant disconnects, at least last time i checked, which was years ago.. so i dunno why did they even bother with this.

money most likely, releasing it on steam means more
the free upgrade is like a free promotion kinda
but as for it being the same if i saw correctly 3 development companies worked on it
if correct the orignal one

Yeah, I have them both. Didn't mean anything negative by "wanted for some reason to run it". I know there's mods that only work with the old one, etc.

There isn't a real difference between Re-Elected and what was available so far though. It's essentially a rebranding, you get a new image in the main menu, hopefully they'll fix the game's compatibility issues they managed to introduce the last time and that's it.

I know that there is some confusion going on regarding Re-Elected being a remaster: it's not, it was just a port to newer consoles originally.

Another censored remake? F**k off just let me play original.

There is no difference between the games, its just branding.

Those two versions are very different, the original has different mods as well and the new version has Bethesda's weird "Club" stuff with pay walled community patches and mods.

Honestly, they're just updating the other storefronts to match EGS which is giving away the "re-elected" version next week.

not entirely, the "old version" gets updated to the new version. it doesn't get removed from the game library, it only gets removed from sale.

gta i dunno which number, the one with expansions
they ''UPGRADED'' us and what we got was original game and expansions removed from our accounts, even when checking steam help.
what we got in return was a single package which meant more space usage

so highly possible they will be removing the game from our library for this so called upgrade... this is honestly getting annoying, switching stuff we paid for, for another version

Gta 4 was the one that got removed but its was because of games for windows live being shut down.
