Disable fullscreen, play in a window, this is decrease the size of the subtitles.
I'm only suggesting this because I also thought they were too fast (although there's also a setting to make them go faster, lol), and when I reduced their size, I found they were easier to read, and thus faster.
Of course, the problem with French subs is they're longer than the English ones. So I'd normally recommend to play in English if you didn't have your children with you. Good luck with that :-( I know I'm not going to play with my kid until he's old enough to read very fast by himself (it shouldn't be too long by now.)
While I'm at it, in the prologue, there's a sentence in Pig Latin *and* reversed. It's funny. It's hard to decypher (had to screenshot it and figure it out by myself, as I'm not versed into Pig Latin). The funny thing is, in French, they somehow used a mix between Javanais (adding extra syllables between the proper ones), and that infamous mème where you can 'figure out any word if the first and last letters are in place'. It pretty much says the same thing as in the English version, but the sentence ends up being nearly twice as long! Lol.
These French... They like taking up multiple paragraphs just to say 'Sorry, no solution for now.'
Oups ! Je me suis fait caught.
Probably you don't have kids to say something that stupid.
IIRC it was introduced in the prologue so you could go back and re-read any anchor facts you may have missed by falling asleep during the long monologue. Hope this helps.
Would have been nice to have an option to wait for a mouse click or slowing down the text rate.
I knew that, but is to easy to find those options i prefer to say nothing on my post... xD Thats my constructive way to help humanity wake up a little. Mostly in this game, you need observation skills, if you do not see these options on the option menu... the puzzles of the game, maybe are impossible for this kind of people. Or well, they need guides to pass the game...
I've seen this option of course, but this option has no impact on text speed if you keep voices, and I want to keep voices.
Text disapear as soon as the voices ends.
