Are the DLCs worth it?
I pre-ordered the game 5 and a half years ago and I have played through it 4 times now I think, I was planning on getting Dishonored 2 soon because it is getting decent sales now. Is it worth getting the DLCs for the first game? They don't seem favourably priced if you own the base game and I don't wish to spend too much. If they are particularly good, however, I shall consider spending more, or possibly just getting the DLC and getting D2 at a later date.

I appreciate any suggestions or recommendations.

I hate to sound ungrateful, but that is a rather minimalist answer. How long are the story based DLCs in relation to the main game? Do the story and gameplay surpass the main game? What reasons would you suggest I get them?

Yes! Get the Definitive edition in summer sale. The Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches are amazing and some people actually prefer them to the base story line. They are also key for understanding and getting the most out of Dishonored 2

The definitive edition is £15, but all the DLC separately is £12, does the definitive edition tend to get a higher proportion sale?

Oh I did not know that. The definitive edition is about £7 in sales.

If you liked Dishonored and want more story, then you *must* play The Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches.

I wouldn't say it requires that you know since SPOILER ALERT they tried to play someone you spared in KoD as someone else entirely

In Dishonored 2 the plot revolves around things and people that you'd need to know about, in the DLC. Pretty simple there.
Indeed, I believe so

Thanks. I am grateful for all of the contributions.

Regarding your previous query about the length; each DLC adds 3 full length missions that weave their own story.

Also they're amazing and great fun

By each I presume you mean Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches. I thought one of them just added bone charms and another added challenges of some sort.

Sorry, I used to develop more on the subject of those DLCs in the past threads, but regarding your question I just feel like the only response you really need now is a very decisive "yes, they are totally worth it!!" Just get them and dont let me spoil the fun for you ;)
