Easily the worst enemy in this entire game. The hitbox for their little parasite things is TINIER THAN THE ACTUAL MODEL I swear. Hitting these things with a controller is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nightmare and even on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mouse it's insanely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with how tiny the parasites are and how erratic they move.

You'll get it down in due time, the biggest part is reading body movement before you fire for the most part so that you don't fire just as they move out of the way.

They're not really too bad once you get used to it.

I had no issues. I'm a veteran at OG RE4, this one required me to shift my tactics a little.

Pro tip: Sweep their legs with a shotgun, then enjoy the free shots to their bodies while they lay there for a few seconds.

On a controller I can imagine it being pretty rough, they don't stay staggered for too long, and if you can, try to go for a penetration shot on two of the parasites if you're using a sniper rifle if they haven't been aggro'd yet

they aint that bad they just stand there after the first pop use the stingray if it's so bad you can even expose the turnips and finish with a standard gun if you want it

I got professional s+ with a controller, did everything in the game. Always played RE with a controller and always will. I'm aware speedrunners will use mouse because it's faster but I'm doing just fine.

In the OG, they would just slowly walk towards you, giving all the time in the world to pick your shots. Boring. Here, you best believe they're gonna catch up to your sorry ass if you've been neglecting those shooting range lessons.

They were boring as hell in the first game, since all they did was slowly walk towards you. Worse if you knew you could stun lock them on the floor by blasting a leg off, letting them hop once and then knife them to death, since knife stuns them every hit.

People still can knife them to death in this game, but you'll probably burn a lot of durability on your knife doing it:
