Devil Spawn Event Chain
I didn't totally believe it was in the game but I got it last night, the whole chain (with the epic stat witches and army and everything), but I didn't survive long after that. What with all my neighbors attacking me. But it was fun while it lasted.

So how common is it? I assume it is pretty rare which is why I was shocked when it happened to me.

I got it with my second child in an ironman game as a count in france. -_-
The event has an MTTH of 500 years and it's only for the player. So the player can expect to see it about once per game if they start from TOG start date and play until the end.

EDIT: As long as they're not a Pagan. Pagan characters can't get the event, IIRC.

Make sure you have a kid under three, then type in "event SoA.3000" in the console, give it sometime and it should activate.

I lost the game because of this event, the child was my son and he killed off my dynasty AS A CHILD! >:c

The non-player characters can have parts of it happen to them, not the final results with the army; but you'll notice many characters in the game in Christian realms who have the "Voice of Satan" added to them, are possessed and have ridiculously high martial stats in the 30's. For the player, the event is detailed and long-lasting. It can be lots of fun if you play it out. It can also be really annoying when the devil spawn kills off all of your other heirs ahread of it in the succession line.

Right after he inherited, he had instantly been assasinated bye somewhere around 10 attempts on his life permonth, so one worked and i lost. Next time ill either kill the little Bastard, or play him if he stays hidden.

If you just set the succession laws so that he (or she) is first in line to the throne, then the spawn stops murdering everyone. (Generally, Ultimageniture is a good way to keep existing heirs and descendents alive. Elective is another simple one, as you can just elect the spawn to the throne, and he stops killing everyone... or you can elect really annoying dukes to the throne so the spawn kills them for you, then elect the spawn!)

Primogeniture means "firstborn inherits". You want Ultimageniture, which means that the lastborn inherits. That way, the demon spawn will be first in line unless you had another child after the spawn, and it won't have to murder anyone else to get to first in line. That prevents the worry about eliminating the family line. (Although it shouldn't be a problem, anyway, if you have branch families around to inherit.)

Also, your vassals probably shouldn't hate you so much that they won't vote for anyone you elect more than second or third in line unless you've been doing something very, VERY wrong in your game.

Problem also was he was a bastard, and couldnt legitimize him.
markdb92 Aug 21, 2014 @ 3:42pm
soapy you can always make him a priest thus kicking him out of your court thus keeping him killing your kids.

I made a custom character with Strong Genius, with the Charlamange start in Ironman mode. Irish Tribal, so between my wife and my 3 concubines, fathered 9 children.

My last born child, a boy...is the demon spawn O_O. I had the option to do something about it, but didn't think he really could be so I let him go.

First he kills his 9 year old brother, 6th born

Then he kills me, the father.

Now I just woke up to him sitting on the chest of my heir, the 2nd born child, first born son, having stabbed him in the heart with a needle.

HE IS ONLY 11 AND HE IS MURDERING MY DYNASTY!

I managed to pass on Strong and Brilliant Strategist to my sons and Genius and Midas Touched to my daughters. This creepy bastard is killing off all my good heirs.

I am now more freaked out by this little turd than I have ever been by any horror game ever.
