Become king ambition?
What's the criteria needed to get to pick this as an ambition once you already have created one kingdom or is it impossible to get the become king ambition for another kingdom?

Also am I correct to assume that I can't subjegation someone thats the same rank as me?

No you cant get it once your a king but you can get it if your king title is taken

Yes you can subujate others they will become a Duke and the rest will be counts

You can even subjugate Emperors, provided they are your correligionaries and you actually manage to beat them. You get their highest title(s), so that they can be vassals of yours.

So basically this is the problem I'm having now.
I'm the King of Norway and I want to declare war on Sweden using subjugation as a CB (haven't used it with this king yet)
However the only option I get to the declare war on them is to push a claim for one of my courtiers.
So what I'm I missing? Is it becuase Sweden is at war and also dealing with a revolution?

Do you have any land in de jure Sweden? If not, that's probably why.

I own Uppsala,Medelpad and two more I think.

I was under the impression that you could only use it once and if you became king without using it, it went away. I may be wrong. I've really only ever used it when playing Norse in 867 and it is insanely easy to become king of Norway. Either way, whichever position is correct, you can always just wait until an heir takes over and then use the once per lifetime subjugation on Sweden.

It might be a good idea to wait anyway, because you'll want Norway to be absolutely secure before you swallow up Sweden. Your Swedish vassals will tend to be rebellious, because they'll want your extra king title. Sweden always turns into a problem for me, when I take it over too quickly after getting King of Norway. Really loyal Norway vassals will help you put down the rebellions and let you ignore the minor opinion negative from revoking the rebels' titles or banishing them (if they have multiple titles) and putting your own Norse vassals in place.

My current ruler is the 2nd king of norway(just took over from his father) So I should be able to use subjegation CB (I can use it on denmark or finland but not on sweden the only diffrence is that denmark and finland are not formed where as sweden is)

As for rest,
The only trouble I'm having is starting the war.
What happens after won't be problem as I have more men then the queen of Sweden and her allies and I also have like 1500g to her meger 200g :)

Perhaps they changed something in the last patch?

You should be able to use the once per lifetime subjugation casus belli on any pagan ruler, even if that ruler has already formed a kingdom title. You should be able to use the "Become King of...." subjugation casus belli on any ruler of de jure portions of the kingdom you chose for that ambition. For a while the unlimited subjugation from "Become King" was thought to be an unintended feature, many patches ago, so perhaps Paradox changed it so that you get the one lifetime subjugation and one "Become King" subjugation or something like that. Very odd.

Edit: I was going to go test it out in my current game as a descendant of Ivar the Boneless, but my game just crashed. A shame, because it was ironman and I had Ireland, enough counties to form Scotland and Wales and was about to subjugate Mercia and form England for the achievement. I may start over. Too much happened after the last autosave that I liked. My aging craven mostly unpopular ruler died finally and my genius, brilliant strategist heir with a 23 martial took over, popular even with the new reign opinion malus. Typical to crash at the worst possible moment. Murphy and his obnoxious law.

Just because it hasn't been asked yet...

You didn't reform the Norse religion, right?

If you reform a pagan religion, you lose subjugations, and have to take land from coreligionaries like a Catholic, and set up claims. (Which shouldn't be hard - as one of only 3 Norse kingdoms, they'll only be too happy to intermarry their bloodlines with yours. Just offer transfers to claimants and intermarry the bloodline, and you can easily get claims on Sweden/Svithod.)

In a similar vein, Svithod's ruler didn't go and convert to Suomenusko or anything, right?

Turns out it had something to do with the war their queen was in.
As soon as it was over I could use subjegation as a cb.
