Pregnancy events
Do these events affect anything, particularly the one where your wife asks for a hares foot/ fishes eye or something. Does it affect the kid or give higher chance of twins etc?

Was this a real question on how pregnancy works? Cause no, that's not how it works. She's having cravings and will like you if you help her. Give her too much and she'll get fat but like you more than otherwise iirc.

If you need me to explain pregnancy, lmk.

I think the only important thing about these events is the health modifier. Death during pregnancy or childbirth in this game is pretty rare (much rarer than I thought it used to be in those times), so I would say the events are inconsequencial overall.

i read somewhere that those events have a chance to give the child traits like clubfooted, ugly, harelip etc.

no idea if that's true, but would be kinda funny if it were. i usually stick with the expensive option that has a chance to make the wife gluttonous.

I can confirm that. I got a child with a harelip after the wife ate hare. But I'm sure it's not 100%. Like all other things it's just an RNG chance.

That's not prove though, because it could just be a coincidence.
I don't think any of my children ever developed a harelip (or any of the other conditions) after their mother ate that stuff, so ... can't confirm.
Best bet would be to look at the event code and see if there truly is a connection or not.
