mouse mashing not working

I cant escape the guy thats grabbing at my ankles at the start. Imashing my left and right mouse buttons, but cant get away. Mouse sensitivity is at max. Is there any other way to escape?

It's your a and d keys. Your left and right movement keys.

I don't think he means that part. I am also having the same problem where I am tapping my A and D movement keys and then an ! appears, what do I do then?

lame console portitis.. it doesn't tell you what keys to press, but you need to use the WASDFE keys for the stupid "button mashing" interactive scenes. Oh, and .. it never tells you what buttons.. you just have to figure it out.

I know exactly what you mean Zen Dane, cannot get passed that part. Been playing Sim City while I wait for someone to figure that one out.

sometimes it is the e button, sometimes it is the f button. it all depends on the situation

Okay, try looking at your button configurations to figure out what the icons mean. It tells you. ! means your melee buttom (F). A hand means interact buttom (E). Left and Right arrows are A and D.

Its not a & d, or q & e, I'll try some more. This really sucks and adds nothing to the game play.

The first time my legs got grab it was A and D back and fourth. the second time it was A and D, then at a specific point I had to hit F.

If you changed your keyboard layout then the keys will have changed on you.

no, actually they don't. And even if they did, they don't explain what buttons to press. These type of minigames with the stupid button mashing were dumb back when they stopped appearing in computer games back in the 90's. Reason: Still lame.

I can see having it in a console game. But.. this isn't a console game.

There are 2 circles, you have to wait for the Red glow to be within the last circle before you hit E or F, hitting too early can and usually result in death or intense pain.

WTF are you talking about? NO.. they didn't have some kind of TUTORIAL about what QTE is or what it's about or, guess what, there wouldn't be so many posts like this in here.

Especially lame is the fact that they never even tell you what to press. Just an exclamation point or a hand or sometimes just a red circle. Sorry, most of us are used to a higher quality product when it comes to COMPUTER games, not this lame console crap they give people little gamepads to play.

Now, unless you have something to add to the conversation beyond calling people names, buh bye?
