Is it possible to replay missions? And is it really open-world?
^topic

[EDIT] Oh and a weird question to ask, is this game actually open-world? I saw some articles stating it's not open-world and also, the store page does not advertise that it is. Sure, you can revisit old places and there's hubs, but I don't think that necessarily means it is open world.

You can go back into areas you´ve been before. You cant replay missions at once as i know. Just go back and do stuff you couldnt do before because you didnt have the equipment like in the Zelda games where you can go back too into old Areas.

Just revisit areas? Well that's a little bit disappointing. It would be cool to replay some of the best parts of the campaign.

Maybe its possible. Maybe some console players can tell us more

Alright. Thanks for your help.

Well, the first time through you can revisit areas through the base camp system. To play areas anew, you have to start a new game.

Wow, just to play a certain favourite mission? I hope they add replay missions through patches.

im just happy that they made it so after you beat the game, you can go back and get everything you missed and not just have an end.

Yeah, that's good.

dont think of it as a game with missions/levels. its a world (or should i say island) with hub's that are connected together through story. each hub has challenges, tombs etc... once you complete the game, you can go back to each hub, explore and collect anything you missed.

Yea, but i get what the OP wants, everyone has a favorite part of a game they love and being able to replay that section of the game without needing to go through however many levels it was from the beginning.

While the past TR games did allow that we wont know if this one will until we get our hands on it, although i guess someone could ask the devs on twitter or something and see if they answer.

I know what he as asking. Like i said, you cant think of it as a game with levels. Its a story that you progress through. Yes each hub is open and expansive and you have to explore etc.. but once you've completed the story part in that area you progress onto the next. I dont want to spoil it so i cant say exactly how you progress through hubs sometimes but once you've done the story the only way to re-do it would be to play the game from start again.

I hope it's so good to the point I would play it twice. Would be awesome to have New Game Plus where all your skills carry over but it's unlikely since it has gear gating as a feature. Or is it?

While New Game + can be cool, I do believe hearing the editors over at IGN mention that they had almost completely maxed out every skill/piece of equipement by the end of their first playthrough. It doesn't sound like there's much room for a New Game +, whether it's in or not. Not to mention that having access to certain things too early could easily break the game, from the looks of things.

Assassin Creed allows for replay of specific mission and it's the same basic design. Main city/hub with outlying areas and secret Templar tombs. The areas also change as you progress; however you are able select any mission and replay as many times as you wish. So, regardless if it has or lacks levels it's not impossible to do, Crystal Dynamics just chose not to.
