Co-op: framerate lag or connection lag?

Whenever my brother and I play co-op, we'll receive the "Connection problem" prompt during the game. But I noticed that we only get it once a lot of enemies are spawned in the level, so I was think it was the framerate dropping. It doesn't lag us out of the session all the time, but it does occassionally. It works perfectly fine when either of us play single player, but it's just lag-festival when we do co-op. We're both playing on the lowest resolution as well.

I already know both of our GPU's are not that great, but if we can play single players without lag and many otehr games without so much lag, I want to know why Orcs Must Die! 2 co--op is so laggy.

Make sure to grab all potions/coins/things laying about or it will cause lag I believe. Should help some.

Oh, we already do that and yet it still lags.

You may already know this but - one thing that can cause the "Connection problems" message to appear is when your partner alt-tabs out of the game. You'll see the error message until he's back in the game.

The lag's another thing and without more info on your rig it's hard to say what's going on.

And FYI there's no *official* support here but there is over on Robot's official forums.

Yes, I did. But thank you for pointing it out still.

In general, my computer specs have stock parts, not a single upgraded part included (I'm too poor for that). But like I said, I don't get a single hint lag when I play single player and nor does my brother when he plays single player. But when we do co-op, it begins to lag once the wave with more enemies spawns in the level.

Having the same problem, works fine the first few waves but after a while it keeps giving 'connenction problem'-messages every minute or so.
Hardly able to play the game then, always feels like such a pitty when we're doing great.
As OP I don't have a top of the art computer, but a decent one and don't have single-player issues.

And it's such a great game as well, especially with co-op. It's terrible in endless mode...don't try endless mode in co-op.

Also having lag issues. There shouldn't be any reason for it. I've checked everything. Literally every possibility.

Don't think it has anything to do with your computers, I get it sometimes when im playing with my wife and we both have nice computers :)
