Elite Soldier Pack Not Activating
I bought the Special Edition of XCOM at retail and input my code when I was installing the game. The box promised me the Elite Soldier Pack..but it didn't activate. I've tried verifying files, checking DLC, re-activating the code and even reinstalling the game. Nothing works.

My Account History claims that I only redeemed the game itself, but I clearly have a special edition box.... did I screw up somewhere or did I just get ripped off?

On Steam, click Games, Activate a Product on Steam and follow the prompts, then use activation code.

I used my code when I first installed, and when I try again it tells me Ive already used it. I know its just a few cosmetic features but Id like to color code my soldier's armor based on how much I value their lives, like Star Trek red shirts. Im gonna try reinstalling but that means I have to redownload a gig or so on clow internet...after installing from 2 dvds...

For the Elite Soldier Pack that was included with pre-orders, the code was on a serparate flyer.

Mr Hoot, this is not the case for the special edition. There is a flyer inside, but the flyer says to install the game and enter the key on the manual and you will automatically get all your goodies. There is only one key and it does not give the bonus.

This.

Same here. Bought a retail version with "elite pack included"; there was only one code that I entered it as I installed a game. Didn't work: no "Guile-looking" -recruit, no color codes/customization or anything like that. I tried re-activating that code and that didn't help either, says "product already owned on steam".

How can you tell if you have it installed?

Right click your game and select view downloadable content.

Same here. Anyone find a solution yet?

Same here, pre ordered the game and now I am asked to buy the DLC that was supposed to be included
Segovax Nov 3, 2012 @ 1:37pm
The DLC is just a hairstyle from the original XCOM and some armor decos, all aesthetic. You're sure that you don't have the goofy 80's flat top fro?

Love this game but that price for the DLC is a bad joke.
Alluvian Nov 4, 2012 @ 10:14am
Yes, we are sure. You can also change character armor colors, which is really idiotic that you can't do that without DLC.
