3 bugs that made me uninstall the game

1- The wall is considered half-cover where he was by looking at the icon. There is a thread that explains how cover works. There is no such thing as walls that block LoS in this game. Only high cover that is adjacent to other high cover can break LoS.

2- That looks like a genuine bug.

3- That's the chance to hit. Panic, after successfully rolling to hit, has the enemy make a will save. It's just like Dungeons & Dragons.

1- I don't understand. My soldiers were outside the alien spaceship. Enemy was inside. Then my soldiers shot through it and enemy just passed through it and standed next to my soldier. It is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ solid wall, it has ceiling above it, what do you mean half-cover? It's like i've enetered your house just by passing through a wall. Logic, where are you?

3- Thank you game, for not telling me how you work.

1. I've seen that wall hole issue there as well. And LoS doesn't usually go through an enclosed wall. That alien is on the inside of the ship.

2. That bug pops up on me now and then as well. I don't understand why it happens sometimes. I just go to overwatch and get the shot as soon as it moves.

3. A panicing unit will still fire against an enemy if theres one in his LoS most of the time when first panicked. The following round he will do nothing though.

Overall despite the few annoying issues I liked the game well enough. Beat it once on classic and now I'm going for ironman classic.

1. As he just said, there's no walls that block LoS that aren't cover. Someone else once posted a picture of a guy shooting a floater in what I believe was the alien base. The floater was on the other side of the segment, of what would have been about 10 feet thick of solid rock. If it doesn't count as cover, then it's just there for aesthetics.

3. The game does tell you, when you pick the ability.

I know how panic works, and, as mentioned above, it didn't work. Enemy shot my soldier during their turn.

I told me that enemy's willpower affect how successfull will psy-attack be, but it didn't tell me, that psy-powers can miss and the % i see are chances to hit, not chances of triggering an effect.

About (1) you're absolutely right. I've seen it happen in my games, I know how cover works, I know what solid walls are etc. etc. but I have had soldiers die because of this; we didnt see any aliens, they saw us. This kinda reminds me I wanted to blow a fuse about the camera in alien ships but this is not the time or thread for that.

About (2), never happened to me. Really the first time I see something like it.

About (3), 100% to hit, not to apply effect.

Same as other people, I still love and enjoy the game; I do have high hopes they'll fix them bugs though and will be really mad if they don't.

I would venture a guess at the fact that paying full price for a game that is has some pretty decent issues. They don't want others to get sucked in thinking that the game is nearly flawless. Products live and die by the consumer, and Firaxis still has time to fix the problems, maybe get somethings worked out, but until then, the game just isn't enjoyable enough to pay $50 for.

1) в онлайне это жутко бесит и не только в онлайне игрок штурмовик вплотную пытается стрелять когда цель еще не вышла в зону 100 прострела пробегая рядом и соответсвенно промахивается что жутко бесит. ( там тупой расчет какой-то) баганутый. Он уже видит цель и стреляет а то что цель не вошла в зону 100% или максимального прострела это конечно бред. Но идее ответный огонь должен быть перенастроен на момент выстрела с мккс возможным процентным соотношением а не по факты первого же засвета.
2) есть такая точка на корабле снабжения возле командирского мостика. сам с таким сталкивался. там видать ошибка в текстурах и расчетах. оп загадочной причине считает не просматриваемой територией. надо уходить за неполное укрытие правее.
3) эмм... хз возможно элита в принципе панике не подверженна. Элитные муттоны, такие элитные мутоны :))) Ты бы еще на эфелиала панику кидал :)
В этой ситуации тупоумие лучше было кинуть оно уменьшает способность к прицеливанию и наносит урон.

For 3), I've also never been able to panic a creature twice. I'm not sure if that applies to your case, but even if the panic hits and doesn't "fail", they don't lose their turn the second time or get an instant reaction.

2) Often times you can "fix" that bug by selecting another soldier then clicking back on your soldier and the Fire icon will be highlighted like it should. Works for me quite often.

For number 1, you're shooting a floater. Floaters are notorious for this "inside a wall" trick and it has to do with flight being bugged and the visual representation of the floater being lower than he actually is. Basically, that floater is OUTSIDE the ship which is why you have line of sight to him. He's not in the wall, he just looks like he is. If you read some of the topics I've commented on regarding LOS, this is EXTREMELY COMMON with floaters.
