Door Issue on Temple Ship
Hi. Made it to the last door in the Temple ship and I can not open it / run guys through it / blow it up....

Any similar issues people have solved? I have the save file if someone wants me to email it somewhere or something.

The last door was always open for me, but it's really weird that you can't place guys next to it, they're always one square away.

Maybe a Muton Elite opened it for me? I'm not sure.

You missed a guy. I had the same problem. There was a random sectoid in the first room that I missed. Just go back and find him.

Basically each door is tied to the story and to trigger the story (the alien speaking to your psychic) you need to clear each wave of aliens. Until you do that the next door isn't open.

Is it certain there is always a discoverable alien? I've been searching for ~20m and still nothing, I'm certain at this point that there is no alien on the normal map. Maybe it spawned off map? Any work around for this?

If there's no alien on the map it will skip the "alien activity" message when your turn ends and go right back to your turn. So if you're getting the "alien activity" message then there are still aliens on the map.

You missed two random sectoid around the two floating discs and companion. I had the same. When you encounter the floaters, go down, to the bottom ramp and head back to the floating disc room. The sectoids will be there (And after that few Crystallids will come prior the door opens.).

yeah I replied without refreshing. In any case, no luck. I've already killed 3 crystallids and the discs. Returning to the area where I killed the discs shows nothing up.

ok, I restarted mission. Heres a kill log (Normal difficulty) for anyone with same issue:

3 sectoids in first room central
2 sectoids second room right
1 cyber disc & 1 drone, ontop first support right.
1 cyber disc & 2 drones, ontop first support left.
1 floater, lower corridor left.
2 floater, lower corridor right.
2 floaters, upper central corridor.
3 crysallids, lower corridors, spread out.

The doors opened, praise be.

I had this issue and stumbled on this thread searching for an answer. I was able to reload a save I had made midway through the level and replay without further problems. I believe the problem is caused by mindcontrolling an enemy - did you do that?

A dev. (or some such) on the 2K forums acknowledged this bug in a thread I found concerning it.

There's a host of reasons why it'll come about. Most appear to be missing an alien because they "fell" out of LOS and cannot be re-engaged because your troopers are not able to follow.

Mine was an Iron Man game and the only solution is to restart from the beginning and experience the crap game all over again.

Wow, I'm on an Ironman game and have the same problem. I did mind control a few guys. I am seriously pissed right now. Dev's please help!!!

@shoeless, yeah I used mind control the first "bad" run through, second I didn't, so its a possibility. Good to know the devs know about it, sucks for people playing ironman though.

I had 2 things happen that might be the bug:
1. I mind controlled a sectoid.
2. one enemy fell through the ship and the camera followed it waaaay down for a few seconds. I'm pretty sure it was dead tho.

Anyway, I'm going to restart from beginning and not mind control anything at the beginning and see.
