Actual size of download?

The requirements list 20GB hard drive space are needed. My internet has a daily cap of 4GB, so if it's really a 20GB download then I'll have less headaches if I just go to the store and buy a physical copy. Could someone who has the game please tell me how big the DL actually is?

The best I can do is tell the disk usage reported by Steam is 13.5 GB.
I don't memorize file download sizes.

You are probably better off with the physical copy if you have a cap.

I installed from the DVDs. There are only two of them and they include the Steam client, so there is still quite a lot to download, around 10GB IIRC.

I am installing it now as we speak, it says 16.7Gb and I am installing the pack, so I am not sure if that is including the 2 add ons and the expansion.

Why does this game require this amount of space. The original was 500MB... Even with all Wave and BMP files you can't cram that amount of data in there. What the heck?

9.93GB without DLC's

Games on steam download to a temp folder then install, so you need download space and install space on your HD.

So if a game is a 20GB download, you'll download 10GB** there abouts
