You're not wrong. Customization is all the Elite Soldier Pack is about, so i really don't understand the 'just' in there ;)

It's installed automatically if you have the digital pre-order ( if you can color your armor, you have it).

If you don't have the pre-order, it is not for sale yet.

I pre-ordered for a physical copy, picked it up and have a leaflet with a code on it. Said to enter it when prompted during or after installation, no promt as of yet

Click Games at the top of Steam, hit Activate Product, enter the code and boom.

If you forgot to put in the leaflet key (elite) when you had to put in the game key, all you need to do is look up in the corner of steam and click on games, scroll down to activate a product in steam.
put in the elite key there :) Hope this helped

OK I am confused. I preorded it through steam and thought you got all the armor deco stuff, but when I go to my team now it says it is disabled.

To make sure you have the Elite Pack, scroll to the last Hairstyle. If it's the Guile Hair then yes, you have it.

Also, I think if you don't have it, you can't change the color of your soldiers (which would SUCK MASSIVELY for those who did not preorder)

• Classic XCOM Soldier
Players will instantly receive a new recruit in their barrack inspired by the original X-COM: UFO Defense. The iconic soldier with the blonde, flattop hairstyle will return fully modernized.
• Soldier Deco packs
Players can customized their soldier with several aesthetic upgrades to armor suits, including the new Hyperion and Reaper soldier armor kits.
• Complete color customization
A variety of colors and tints for all armor sets in the game allow players complete control to customize their squad's look.

So, #1 on the list hasn't happened at all.

#2 doesn't seem like it has happened either. There is an 'armor deco' option, but it only has the default look, and one secondary option that seems about the same basic style across the armors. Not matching up very well with the description.

#3, while stretching "complete control", does seem to be in. I do have a variety of pre-set color patterns to chose from.

depends on your digital download if it isnt a hard copy I guess. When pre loading mine it was Xcom with dlc. Got all the colors and Guile hair as a default without having to install or activate anything extra

#1 - did you look at all your troops? I think all that means is you start with one more troop in your beginning pool, who has the 80's haircut. I had one dude in my starting pool of troops who had the hair.

#2 - They didnt name the suits but that is just the cosmetic suit option 1 or 2. At least thats what it appears to be.

I do have the flattop hair option. However I do not have more than the basic 2 armor options which actually go away after a while (which is odd.. maybe you are only allowed about 8 or so #2 armor looks and then you cannot do anymore) I might try starting a new game and see if that works. With the new patch, it may have borked something, but I never had more than 2 armor style options and 32 color options (it looks like the second half of the color options are just brighter versions of the first 16) Now most of my guys have 1 armor option and 32 color options as it says Not Available on the Deco line.
