How to Open Doors

Let me help those of you having problem with with doors. It's actually very easy to use them properlly. IE without walking through them. Walk up to the door from cover. So now your posted in cover on the door. Click on yourself and hit V key and wala. Door is opened without alerting anyone. The mouse icon that pops up on the door is just confusing at best.

A left click in the general area of the door works too. I don't see what at all is confusing about opening doors in this game. It even tell you BOTH of those methods in the tutorial...

I just notice people are confused with doors and even when I had to open a few after playing tutorial it didn't seem to be all that straight forward to me either. I had forgot the mouse method and looked in controls to check the key to open the door quietly.

Now what is confusing is that the alien doors looks like some sort of force field. Took me a while to figure out I could "open" them too.

Would be cool if the first time you walk through a force field it did a little cut scene showing your unit putting his/her hand through it or something. I had forgot I could walk through the force fields which oddly enough look kinda like the doors but are transparent.

Pft. That part I figured out very quickly. What took me a bit to figure out was that those translucent forcefield looking sections on the side of a ship could actually be walked through. Didn't figure that one out till one of those crystal guys ran out that way to attack me.
