Is there a way to revert the Game [XX] numbers?

Like, my games are getting upwards to 30+, due to completed games and a LOT of restarts. Is there a way to revert this save without, like, deleting the profile save?

Yes.
C:\Users\[YourUserName]\Documents\my games\XCOM - Enemy Unknown\XComGame
Go there and delete your savedata folder.

This will re-enable the tutorial by default and you will probably lose your second wave options.
Might want to make a backup before you do this.

You didn't read my entire post, because I specifically asked if there was a way to revert it WITHOUT deleting the profile save, which is where everythnig not related to just playing a game is stored.
