At least that's what I've heard.
Yep, the only one you can't ignore is the first one or it's gone forever. Besides that, you can tell the Council to take a hike as much as you want.
Oh yeah, this too. The Council bugs you once ever 1-2 weeks until you decide to finish the mission not so much because you genuinely feel it's the right time for it, but just so you'll stop the constant spam.
Seriously, couldn't they just leave it in the Situation Room as a constant mission until you completed it? Jesus Christ
I don't think that's true. I've played those missions quite a few times and the number and type of enemies have remained the same everytime.
However, all my good soldiers are healthy and ready to go and I have laser rifles, so that should hopefully be enough to make it through the mission in one piece.
I~ve done it perfect with ballistics. Shouldn`t be a problem with Laser rifles.
It's always the same enemies, that's why slingshot make the game easier. You avoid council missions for the time it's active, you can hold it into you are strong enough to make it easy and the enemies are always the same.
I have a much less difficult start without Slingshot and the mid to endgame is pants anyway.
For me it was easier, I lost only two countries. The issue I had the first time I tried Classic was with failed council missions, which raise panic, aside from the dead soldiers. Since there isn't a mission to fail, I had less problem with it. Sure, you need to be luck too, but panic isn't hard to control if you try to make sure that you will have sattelites to launch before the end of every month...
