Elite Soldier DLC: New Recruit?

Hello everyone,

I downloaded the Elite Soldier DLC recently, and I notice on the store page that it includes 'a new recruit in your barracks based on the original XCOM'. However, I can't seem to find it. Could someone let me know what his/her name is or where I can find him/her? I have started a new game, but still no luck.

It's not really a new recruit... It is a new look for your soldiers.

You can customize your soldiers to have the classic Guile mohawk thing from the original game. There are also a few other cosmetic options from the pack I think... truthfully, that Specific DLC is more of a preorder bonus they decided to sell afterward.

You get the new Recruit (Heavy) after you succesfully played the First Slingshot Mission. The Mission should be available early in the Game around the 10+ Day i think.

Find the random soldier with the Guile look. That's the guy you're looking for.

Yes, I looked for a soldier with that mohawk thing, but I didn't have any soldiers with one of those. Is this just a typo on the store page?

yeah you don't get a bonus recruit nor do you get the bonus items it tells you you'll get its pretty much false advertisement on the game makers part you don't get new armours either you only get a new decal customisation

Another thing, I notice that people on the internet keep talking about a special non-customisable soldier called 'Annette'. Does anyone know who she is? I know and have the special soldier called Zhang from the 'Slingshot' DLC, but not 'Annette'. Is she unlocked later in the game? Or in future DLC?

Wrong DLC - he's talking about "Elite Soldier" and not "Slingshot".
And the Elite Soldier doesn't seem to give you any specific new recruit. It could be that you just start with one more guy than normally.

Rumors are that she's part of the next DLC. Makes sense that they already put in some data into the game they already have finished and might be needed for compatibilty-reasons. And they only had two DLCs planned from Release anyway, not counting "Elite Soldier".
That you can't customise them at all is kind of annoying. Limiting the amount for them would be all right, so you can still give them custom Nicknames, custom armor and maybe give them a helmet. Right now, you can't do anything (but it seems that, at least in Slingshot, two DLC-achievements are tied to the new guy you get there and the only way they were able to check if he's there is by identifying him via his unique face. Weird way, to be honest.)
