Best base location?

Hi, i'm playin Classic mode with the Warspace Extension Mod, what is the best country to set up a base at the very beginning of the game? Ty.

it really doesnt matter because you wont get the bonuses of that continent unless you have salletites over every section of that continent. If you want to focus on continent and ignore panic levels. ( not recommended) just think what you want first. because what continent you pick will have one satellite from the get go. I tend to like africa and europe not because of the bonuses but because it seems to take less time to get abuction sites and terror sites no matter where they are in the world. Traveling from united states to china..for some reason they dont go from west to east but from east to asia...dont know why.

Wrong - the continent you build your base in instantly grants you access to the bonus. For EVERY OTHER continent, you need full coverage first.

I don't know what that mod does, but if it's anything similar to what Marathon Second wave option does your best be would be Europe and then quickly expand into Africa for the $ bonus, followed by Asia.

Again, I don't know what warspace mod does, but any continent other than South America since a good deal of the autopsies and interrogations are sometimes ♥♥♥♥/worthless anyway. Even on impossible I've hardly ever used them or even the upgrades from Foundry, the only exception being extra ammo.

Hard to say. Europe and US give you nice way to save some money linearly, while Africa gives you bonus money that snowballs. Asia allows you to you get some cool toys cheaper (and thus earlier).

If having hard time to decide, I recommend Africa. 30% bonus income really matters.

I also recommend africa, early extra money comes in VERY handy, its also worth waiting for your first mission to pop before building your first satellite, the extra engineers make it much cheaper

I think he's right, starting base gives auto-bonus at start

You can cancel a satellite construction any time and get full refund. So start building your satellites on Day 1, and if you gain Engineers before Day 10, you can cancel and rebuild them cheaper. I am not sure that the first mission will always happen before Day 10.

Erm, no, he's right, its you that is wrong pal, has it occurred to you that when ppl argue, it may be because they know what they are talking about?... I suggest you do some apologizing of your own, and getting your facts straight in future before you open your mouth may save you loads of embarassment, i only point this out because you are obviously very young and may not have worked it out on your own...

Each to his own, the latest i have ever recieved the first abduction mission is day 8, and thats after lots of starts, it has become sop for me

I always pick Africa, and then get a sat on the USA ASAP (prioritizing red countries first). That phat cash ensures I can afford things that make my life easier, and that translates to more success, which means less panic, which means mo money, which means mo success, etc.

I do exactly the same thing, Taco, makes the early gane MUCH easier
