Why are you quote'ing me? I said the same thing as you, elite soldiers miss sometimes.
I'm afraid I misplaced that image showing the likely fire-patterns of the standard new recruit in old XCOM, though. Something about literally headshotting every other XCOM soldier while trying to shoot aliens.
god i remember those days but atleast the could see to the end of a building i feel like the have gone to the streets found a bunch of near sighted ppl and recruted the worst ppl they could find
This one?

Sure, occasionally, a top-notch trooper will miss a ridiculous shot, but what can you do about it? If they hit all the time, there'd be no strategy, just line up five Squadsight snipers and send a Ghost support or assault out to spot for them.
What an excellent post. As the internet is 99% stupid with an IQ lower than my shoe size, welcome to the 1% :)
I remember the good ol' days.
Epic team of fully equipped troops and one weapons platform.
Land Skyranger.
First turn
<Alien Movement>
Suddenly, grenade in Skyranger
"Fu-BOOM"
Fission mailed. :/
The sectoid commander somewhere on the map with no LOS mindcontrols your trooper with the Blaster Launcher and wipes out your fullyloaded Avenger with 20 soldiers and 4 hover tanks.
Better yet.
Random alien sees one of your soldiers.
Ethereal on the other end of the map now somehow knows where you weakest will possesing soldier is, AKA Inside the Skyranger where no alien can see.
It's a turn-based game.
They are actually running all over the place, hence they are hard to hit.
Only everyone knows that is not true.
What a magnificent argument! Truly, in face of such well constructed claim I must concede defeat!
Now, honestly, care to explain little more?
